Stayed here last night and what a fabulous little place…. £5 for 2 people in a motorhome, falling to sleep listening to the waves and the only neighbours we had were one caravan and a campervan. As mentioned in previous reviews- track down is a little uneven but a car got down and back up towing a caravan when we were there!

Great little park up right on the grass next to beach with our own fire pit. plenty of wildlife seal, herons. £5 a night for two of us and two huskies collected by friendly farmer on his buggy. The track down is rough but took it easy and not a problem in our lwb sprinter. stayed 3 nights . definitely be back.

Beautiful spot, no facilities but that’s okay for a one night stop (also a cafe with toilets up the road by the lighthouse) :) Farmer was only going to charge us £2.50 each :)

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot on the beach, very close to Mull of Galloway lighthouse. Completely unsignposted from the road, with rough but usable track down to beach. No services. Friendly farmer came round in the evening and collected cash - appears to be £5 per person now (was £2.50 last year), but still excellent value. Plenty of space.

Stayed here last night no facility great views you can fish launch a boat 5? per night one of the best places I have stopped

  • 4/5

lovely view, horrid path to get down into the bay. I went on a Saturday night and there was only 5 other vehicles. Farmer knocked my tiny camper in the morning around 8:30am asking for £5 in cash. Seems to be £5 per person now as it was just me.

  • 5/5

Absolutely perfect. I bumped into the nice farmer as I was walking the dog and gave him some money, decided to stay an extra night assuming a bunch of other people don’t turn up because it’s a Friday night. Only two other vans here very respectfully spaced. Cracking sunrise. Great beach for swimming. Slightly disappointed there were no cows but we did meet them further up the road.

Peaceful night spent here in our vw camper. Track down is a bit ropey. We were ready to pay the £2.50 per person but didn’t see a farmer. Not often you get to sleep so close to the sea.

  • 5/5

this place was so peaceful and the view amazing. the farmer lovely man charged us £5 well worth it. yes there are cows but never bothered us we did fold the mirrors in just as a precaution. the ground is uneven but nothing worth putting you off for. yes the track down looks rough but it looks worse than it is and well worth doing. we did it easy in our fiat Ducato just take it slow. nice cafe

We are currently here only staying for 1 night. We felt staying up at the lighthouse too risky as it’s to be windy tonight and we have a roof tent. It’s very quiet only ourself and a van. The ground is very rocky at parts so hard to put up windbreak etc. A lovely farmer came round and kindly asked for £5 which we happily paid. There is fire pits all around from previous campers. No rubbish lying around.

Great spot for a night stayed last night a few other campers there all great friendly people farmer popped around for rent :) a massive £2.50 pp place was clean hopefully it stays that way an don't get abused like lots of other spots where people think it's fine to leave stuff for others to clean up

  • 5/5

an amazing stop, spotted on our way to the mull of galloway light house and so delighted to be able to stay. a nice sandy beach and a few other campers spent the night everyone was friendly. farmer came around in the morning to collect the money (£2.50 per person) well worth the money

Beautiful place to stop. we've stayed here twice and loved it. The road in is quite steep but manageable.

  • 1/5

Rubbish strewn site, turned round and left after being swarn at by owner. Would avoid, plenty of better places in this locality.

  • 5/5

Amazing place, few people set up for the week, but absolutely no issues or excessive noise from any of them, all super friendly. There was a litter left in plies by previous Campers, which is annoying at best of times, but this is a working farm! Poor farmers cattle having to dodge glass bottles and cans just isn't on! Farmer is absolutely sound, will chat till his cows come home. THANK YOU!

  • 5/5

Excellent stop over, anything goes. there’s a track on both sides of the lane (farmer advised me to just open the gate and go down but make sure gate stays shut) Gated side is more rocky coastline with a small bay open entrance with building has a small slip way and Sandy beach. There’s possibility to fish both sides.

Amazing views, overlooking a lovely bay and relatively sheltered. Farmer very friendly on collection of payment (£2.50 p/p). A lot of rubbish and unfortunately human waste behind buildings / in the long grass and used nappies piled up. Also v.noisy neighbours playing loud music until late but still 4* because of the location and friendly landowner.

Fantastic spot at a great price! Farmer is very friendly and chatty. A shame some people are leaving litter and lots of fire pits, but still a cracker! Only 3 other vans when we stayed midweek.

  • 5/5

Great spot on the beach, can get pretty busy so worth getting there early. Lovely bay for a swim with views of the lighthouse. Farmer is nice enough. Amazing sunrise and entertaining visit by the local cows in the evening.

  • 4/5

Great spot on beach, no facilities and sadly a bit of mess from previous campers. Very busy but managed to get parked.

  • 5/5

Wow, what a setting.. £2.50 per person, farmer was really friendly, beautiful little bay.

  • 5/5

Fantastic place, right on the bay. Really friendly farmer comes and collects the £2.50 per head. No facilities but please take your rubbish home, we saw black bags filled up and just left on the beach.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place great remote location lovely walks views will defo be back again great weekend with friends

  • 5/5

What a beautiful place! When the tide is out the beach is lovely and all the greenery makes a special spot. Price for 2021 is £2.50 a night just perfect

  • 4/5

Wonderful scenery right on beach. Still only £2 pp a night. It got quite windy so moved for the second night to other side of road same price same friendly farmer.

  • 5/5

Great little place to stay overnight. Rough single track to get down but once down plenty of space. We were there with five other Motorhomes. Lovely to SUP from and walk to the lighthouse. Make sure you take the right track! No facilities so come prepared.

Nice in theory but had to move up to lighthouse carpark. Cows slobbering up the window was quite amusing until one broke my wingmirror off.

  • 5/5

Gorgeous beach and bay. Great for a swim when the weather is nice. Some lovely cliff-top walks too. Firepits dotted about and much quieter than the lighthouse carpark.

  • 5/5

Perfect just perfect. £2 per adult (kids free) no facilities to keep the morons away. perfectly clean beach

  • 4/5

    Lovely bay but only 1*3G

  • 5/5

I think the last comment was bad luck. it was beautiful, quiet, clean, good beach for a swim. Quite busy in August but no problem. Narrow road with passing places, but easy to drive down even in a big van.

  • 3/5

Not worthy of the 5 star reviews. nice location but full of rubbish and broken glass everywhere. The farmer who collects your money doesn't seem bothered.

  • 5/5

Lovely view and very quiet. Lots of wildlife and had a good chat with the friendly farmer. As said previously 2 pound per person which he will come and collect.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. Highly recommended. Good shelter from the wind

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

What a beautiful spot! Park on grass looking out onto East facing bay. No facilities just sound of waves lapping the shore.

  • 5/5

Lovely views and peaceful. stoney at first but once tide out nice flat sandy beach. did get visits from farmers beasts but no problem. well worth the price.

Bivouac le 5 août, il faut prendre le chemin et pas hésiter à s'installer. Le lendemain, le fermier est venu demander 2 livres par personne. Pas de service, des poubelles en haut en sortant du chemin
