(G4) Glasgow - 6 Blackfriars Road

Very scruffy looking and when we pulled up on a Friday night there were no other campers or motor homes. We didn’t stay because we felt a bit vulnerable. We found somewhere down a street in the south of the city instead where we saw a few other camper vans scattered around (possibly just parked up outside people’s own houses, but helped us blend in)

Bien placé, beaucoup de place, mais cadre très moche. Attention, paiement uniquement en pièces. Heureusement, il y a un Aldi ouvert jusque 22:00 où il est possible d’avoir des pièces en retour. L’application de parking sur smartphone par contre indiquez qu’il ne fait pas payer ! (Mais nous n’avons pas pris le risque)

Für so einen zentralen Platz ist es nachts sehr ruhig. Platz ist nachts beleuchtet und Video überwacht. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt und standen mit zwei weiteren Camper. Stellplatz eben. Internetempfang nur Vodafone. Sehr zentral gelegen.

Spacious area to park. There are another 10 motorhomes. Very convenient for visiting the city center. Inside Low Emission Zone. Check registration before entering. We did 1 night sleep

Cet endroit n'aspirait pas confiance. Une tente au fond du parking, des bris de verre à quelques emplacements de voiture... Nous devions y passer la nuit mais avons décidé de quitter la ville après une après-midi en ville. Deux étoiles car bien placé.

A bit tricky to find. Plenty of spaces available. Very convenient to walk to all the areas of interest and places to eat. However it cost £19 for 24 hours. About another 6 campers parked there too. Surrounded by bushes on 3 sides, which was good.

Très vaste parking, plusieurs dizaines de places dispo en plein mois de juillet. On peut y stationner pour la journée ou la nuit. Paiement en cash à la borne ou via l’appli . Cadre peu glamour, bitume parfois défoncé et des déchets qui se baladent. Nous sommes allés plutôt dormir derrière Kelvingrove. Pour résumer : bien placé et sûr d’y trouver de la place, plusieurs camping-cars arrivés le soir, mais environnement moyen.

Parked up for 3 nights for Trnsmt festival. Car park had plenty of space & there was only a handful of other camper vans/motorhomes parked up. Felt safe. £13 a night via the app. The carpark code is on the machine as you enter the carpark. Only 10mins walk to river or George’s square. Easy to get to from the m8 too.

Amplio aparcamiento, pasamos muy bien la noche. Cerca de la catedral y necropolis, y a 10 - 15 minutos andando del centro.

Stayed here while attending a festival. Great central park-up at £13 for 24 hrs (Paid Via App). Would stay here again.

Wir haben hier 2 Nächte gestanden. Top Lage zum Besuch der Innenstadt. Stadtteil Merchant City ist ca. 5 - 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Der Platz ist etwas dreckig, aber videoüberwacht und nachts gut beleuchtet. Zahlung am Automaten nur mit Münzen (!), oder per App (PayByPhone)

excellent parking pour visiter glasgow. nuit absolument calme. beaucoup de place. attention on ne peut payer les 16£ qu'avec l'application pay by Phone. très bon restaurant italien santa lucia à 5 minutes sur Ingram street.

La zone faible émission limite son accès aux véhicules Euro6. Beaucoup de camping-cars répondent à cette norme (voir sur le certificat d'immatriculation) qui est appliquée depuis 2014. Alors pourquoi se priver de ce parking à 13£ par 24h situé à 5 mn à pied du centre ville ? Le paiement est soit en pièces de 1 ou 2 pounds soit par application informatique sur smartphone. Beaucoup de places.

Liegt an dem 01.06.2023 in der LEZ. Zufahrt nur für Euro 6 for diesel cars and vans.

Top, hebben hier 2 nachten gestaan. Geweldige stad Glasgow, we deden de muziek tour en dat is wel de moeite waard als je een muziek liefhebber bent. 13 pond contant betalen. Veilig gevoel en verder niks bijzonders. Wel vlakke plekken.

Follow on road parking signs on High Street - Google maps took me to closed road £13 a night, very peaceful safe, flat with grassy area for big vans to overhang Work going on to student accommodation but not noisy Well situated for Cathedral/Necropolis/east side of city Bit of a walk for rest Riverside Museum (well worth a visit) or the tall ship, but very long walk!

Perfekter Parkplatz, um Glasgow zu besuchen. 5-10min zu Fuß in die Innenstadt und ca. 3min zur nächsten öffentlichen Verkehrsanbindung. Parkplatz etwas dreckig, aber videoüberwacht, haben uns sicher gefühlt und nachts ist es trotz Stadtnähe ruhig. Für 24h 13£ entweder mit Münzen am Automat zu bezahlen oder online.

Super parking pour visiter Glasgow ! À 5 minutes du centre-ville, un supermarché et restaurants à côté, pour 13 £ les 24 heures ! Par contre, prévoir le cash pour payer avec des pièces ! Je recommande et, on se sent en sécurité, nous sommes restés 3 jours sans soucis. Pas de vidanges ni toilettes sur ce lieu, c’est seulement un parking !

Parking bien situé pour visiter la cathedrale et ses alentours. 11 minutes à pied. Par contre, le parking est très sale. A 23h30 quelqu'un est venu taper dans l'arriere de notre camping car puis est repartit de suite.

Parking tranquilo y muy seguro. Tiene camaras de seguridad. Esta muy bien iluminado. No tiene nada de servicios. Nos pareció un poco elevado por lo que ofrece. 16£ la noche. No se puede pagar con billetes. Solo monedas o en internet.

Platz ist ok für die Stadtbesichtigung. Ruhig und ohne Probleme übernachtet. Bezahlung nur in bar oder problemlos mit App. Glasgow hat uns allerdings überhaupt nicht gefallen.

Parcheggio favoloso per la sua comodità, 10 minuti a piedi dal centro, illuminato di notte, telecamere, 13 sterline per 24 ore. Fare solo attenzione, ci sono due strade di ingresso ed il navigatore solitamente ti fa passare per quella chiusa.

Parking bien situé, proche du centre ville. Rien de spécial, mais OK pour une nuit. Possibilité de payer via l app. Paybyphone.

Genial für einen Parkplatz mitten in der Stadt. Viel Platz, absolut ruhig, hell beleuchtet, sogar die Polizei ist am Wochenende mehrmals nachts vorbei gefahren. Hop on hop off Haltestelle 300m entfernt. Innenstadt direkt vor der Haustür.

Ideal als Ausgangspunkt Glasgow zu Fuß zu erkunden - ruhig in der Nacht- völlig Save

Perfect central parking lot for a few hours in Glasgow. £6 for 4 hours and in 10 min walk you are in the centre. Much better than parking outside and having to walk miles or take a bus. not too much traffic to get there and lots of space. recommended!

Zeer ruime staanplaats, we stonden er met 2 andere, betaalautomaat te betalen met munten, in de Aldi om de hoek kan je met uw bankkaart munten verkrijgen. Zeer rustig, enkel veel meeuwen geluiden, veilig gevoel met onze ramen open geslapen want het was snikheet.

MUY Tranquilo. Sin servicios. Muy cerca del centro comercial de la Catedral y bien comunicado con autopistas. Ideal para ver la ciudad.

Like others have said, looks and feels a bit run down, but was fine. No noise to speak of. I paid £15 for 24 hours, through parking app. ( pay by phone) Have heard it might be cheaper using coins in machine. Will use again. Please note, that as of 01/06/23 this car park will be within the LEZ zone.

Grand parking avec peu de voiture Quang j'y étais et 3 camping-car. Proche du centre ville et des commerces (Aldi juste à là sortie du parking) vous pouvez payer en liquide ou avec une carte bancaire en téléchargeant une application (tout est indiqué sûr la borne de paiement). Nuit très calme, aucun bruit . 13£ pour 24h

Un grand parking dans un secteur pas très beau situé entre immeubles et une voie ferrée, mais sommes toutes très calme, et qui a l'énorme avantage d'être très proche du centre. Fait très bien l'affaire pour une nuit. La notre a été bonne. Attention, prévoir la monnaie (13 £ / 24h) en pièces uniquement. Pas de billets, pas de carte et pas de change possible sur place.

Wir standen eine Nacht dort, war super nah zum Zentrum. Nachteil, man kann nur mit Kleingeld bezahlen.

Great parking for the city centre. Cost us £3.20 for 8hrs on a Sunday. Dirty car park but good location, didn’t sleep here.

Large parking spot and the location is good for visiting Glasgow since you are very close to the city centre. For 12h we paid about 8£. No facilities and we didn't stay for the night.

It’s now £18 for £24 hours but still totally worth the price as you’re right in the city centre (though it’s not a difficult place to drive to) and as a bonus dominoes will deliver to your van!) I was on my own and I wouldn’t say I FELT totally safe, the place does look a bit sketchy but all in all there’s nothing really to worry about and I had no trouble, would definitely stop here again! :)

Turned up at 11 couldn’t park for the night as the online tickets wouldn’t dispense tickets at that time. There was a security man driving round and stopped to talk to us. He said he was there as a precaution as there was a hospital around the corner and he was there to look for over dosed bodies in the carpark he said he had not found a body in 3 months but still have to look 5 times a night!!

Stayed overnight a couple of nights ago. Fairly central but quiet and felt safe. £18 for 24 hours and you can pay on your phone. No facilities and not much of a view but good for visiting Glasgow. I was with my partner but would have felt safe as a woman staying here alone.

Parked here for the day on 16/10/2020: great large car park, looks a bit sketchy but was safe. Easy walk into the centre of town. Paid £8.20 for 12 hours.

Stayed the night while visiting the city. Really simple walk into the main city centre. Uni accommodation windows are overlooking the carpark so suspect it may be a little noisy sometimes but was quiet enough when we stayed. You can hear the trains late at night and early in the morning but not too loud. No parking attendant in sight but it does say it’s remotely monitored. Little untidy but felt safe

Perfect to visit the city. You can pay cash or through a website. There is an attendant, but only during the day. The gate was open at night. Well lit and security camera's. Several campers at night. Recommend Café Spitfire on Ingramstreet for a nice coffee and breakfast.

Decent size carpark without height restrictions, literally in the centre of Glasgow so very convenient. £13 for 24hours or £8 for 12hours .. we choose not to stay overnight.. as it's rather rundown and messy, but it's convenience to city centre is key . so thumbs up

Parked for the day and night on Sunday, paid 3 pounds for the day. Left before 7am when attendant was supposed to arrive. Not sure if he would have charged 3 more pounds. Location is great near the Old Fruit Market. Parking lot is well lit, felt secure. Two other campers parked for the night

Excelente explanada con cabida para grandes AC sin restriccion. Esta a 20 minutos andando, del mismo centro.

Parking muy tranquilo. Los domingos se paga 3£.

Parfait pour visiter la ville.

Pro's, Great location for the city centre, large parking area for any size of motorhome, Aldi 2 mins away, £13 for 24hrs. Con's, no services, train noise up to midnight and from 6am. Nightclub music at weekend. we were unlucky to have a film crew base camp setting up, Generator, HGV's and workers noise until 1am and resumed again at 5:30am.

L'accès au parking se fait par la Blackfriars Road et non pas à l'adresse indiquée au 22 Parsonage Square.

Great location. £13 per 24hr can pay via mobile app or coins. Porta loo but locked and watchman would not open but Aldi right next door that has a toilet. Massive space and stop as long as want just pay each day. We stopped 3 nights.

Grand parking pratiquement vide à 600 m de la Cathédrale. Nous n'avons pas vu de gardien le dimanche. Pas de service, ni poubelle.

This has no view but it’s perfectly placed for the centre of Glasgow. The attendant was friendly and helpful and there was plenty of spaces for us. We arrived at lunchtime on Saturday, paid our fee (£11.40 via the app) with the ticket being valid till 18.00 on Sunday, perfect for us before heading down towards the Lake District.

Spent the night here on a Friday night. There’s a security guard in at night but the one we spoke to was very friendly. Great city centre spot!

Tout à été dit, pensé à la monnaie en pièce, grand parking, beaucoup de places, très plat et mis a part le train étonnamment calme. Bien situé, pratique pour visiter Glasgow à pied, sécurisant car surveillé jour et nuit. Gardiens très sympa ! (bon on fermera les yeux sur la propreté)

Cercano al centro. El parking esta muy deteriorado, sucio aunque si vigilado. Util para pasar la noche. Sin ningún tipo de pretensión.

Pratique. Il faut payer avec des pièces mais pas forcément que des 1£ (automate).

Près de l’hôpital, mais calme la nuit. Prévoir des pièces. L’entrée est un peu difficile à trouver. Elle se situe au bout de la rue Blackfriars Road en venant de High Street. On y est restés de 18h au lendemain 11h, on a payé 10 Livres.. Correct, l’endroit est pratique mais peu avenant.

Parking parfait pour visiter le centre de ville, sortie autoroute n 15 à la sortie du parking prenez la rue en face pour le centre ville, 5 £ pour 4h. Attention la barrière se ferme à 20h jusqu’au lendemain 7h

Très bien, d'autant que nous n'étions que 2 vans. Bien prévoir les 13 pièces de 1 livre pour rentrer mais gardien sympa qui vous laisse le temps d'aller faire de la monnaie.

Parking parfait pour partir découvrir Glasgow à pied. A seulement 5 minutes de la cathédrale ou du square Saint Georges. Fermé par barrière avec gardien. 8 £ pour rester entre 4h et 12h.

El sitio está genial para visitar Glasgow, está muy cerca del centro, a menos de 10 min andando y a menos de la Catedral. El único inconveniente es que cierra con barrera a las 8pm y si hubiera alguna emergencia... Pues no puedes salir. Por lo demás perfecto.
