Parked in bay next to Oasis cafe 7.32 motorhome very quiet all you could hear was the sea £9 for 24 hours parking road traffic was not to busy road sweeper around about 6.30 am chips from cafe we're really nice

  • 5/5

Lovely night here last night. No boy racer's. Quite all I could hear was the beautiful sea. Was about 15 campers and all lovely had some good conversations.

  • 4/5

This would be the perfect stop over night, its free overnight, safe, very scenic and close to many activities including the beach. What lets this place down are the local car enthusiasts who insist on racing past until late (approx 22:30 - 23:30) At one point we had cars going past continuously sounding their horn.

  • 2/5

Sehr viel Verkehr. 4G Empfang mit O2 oder EE (15Mbits Down / 7Mbits Up)

Good place with good views. Would definitely go back. Only £9 for 24 hours and toilets 40p. Yes the is passing traffic but was very quiet during the night but that can probably change so take your earplugs! We were lucky enough to find a space near the toilets and reverse our 6.3m van into a gap between the rocks so we managed to keep our nose back from the road.

  • 3/5

Arrived in the evening around 7pm on a Thursday night, loads of spaces available. FREE from 6pm-9am. Spaces seem bigger towards the south bay. Lovely view of the sea perfect for my morning run along the front. Close to town for the local amenities. Can feel and hear cars go passed but I would definitely park here again :)

  • 3/5

Parkieren ab dem 1. November kostenlos und ohne Begrenzung. Zahlterminals sind alle zugedeckt. Super zu Fuss zur Scarborough Beach mit haufenweise Shops, Pups, Seafood und Casinos.

  • 5/5

Fantastic views over the sea, very choppy today but a surfers paradise. Seems like it’s free between 31/10 and 1/3 to park and stay over!

  • 4/5

Tentbox trip. Free parking after 6pm until 9am. Great sunset and views. Plenty of spaces (we took over two with the overhang and ladder). Toilets were closed until the morning and only cost 40p. Local cafe serves breakfast too. (GF options too!) Bad points: can be noisy until midnight with cars/boy racers. we also had the street sweeper visit at 5am.

  • 4/5

Disappointing. From all the reviews I was expecting drag racing and fast cars. There were a few boy racers around early on but they all went home. So a boring peaceful night's sleep. Great facility.

  • 5/5

Chemical toilet wast. Beautiful view. Lots of camper-vans. We had a lovely walk.

  • 1/5

This would be a great place to stay but the road turns into a race track in the evening. No police patrols to prevent it. We won't be returning.

  • 4/5

Great spot, well used. A little noisy in the evenings as its bit of a boy racer route. the only significant downside for us was that the toilets were locked overnight.

  • 3/5

20th August 2023. Very busy place, noisy too til close to midnight. Toilet block was free due to the disabled one being broken, but still clean. Loads of bins around, lovely views and roads swept at 6am!!!! Nice touch.

  • 1/5

  • 1/5

I don't understand the 5 star reviews. This is extremely noisy, there are boy racers all night, and there are stones in the edges so long campers (more than 5.5m) can't park.

  • 2/5

Good points: lovely view and scenery, loads of bins and a toilet block which you have to pay for (cash and conncatless 40p?) Bad points: Bins where over filled so had to take my rubbish home with me, did not get any sleep due to other campers parking up late at night and joyrider zooming passed and you feel your van shake and loud vehicles.

  • 4/5

Wer längs parkt also 3-4

Fantastic Views, Toilets close by, can be a bit noisy at night with cars driving past £9 for 24-hour stay, ww will be back soon.

  • 5/5

Amazing & well needed night away!! toilets paid both cash & card access (closed in the evenings). also disabled toilet with key access (available 24h if you have a key). short (pretty flat, mostly) walk into town with plenty to do. Amazing view to wake up to Road pretty busy at times, some spaces are shorter than others in size. friendly/helpful campers no noise or ASB, quiet night sleep

  • 4/5

fantastic views, little bit noisy with cars until about 11pm but quietened down after that.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Sehr grosszügige Parkmöglichkeiten gegen Zahlung, schöne Sicht englische "Belustigung"

  • 5/5

First night in our little van. Great place to stay. Will definitely come back.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night. No problems at all and free to park from 6pm-9am. Lovely to wake up right by the sea. Decent toilets for 40p

  • 5/5

Just far enough away from home for one night get away! Yes, plenty of other vans, tourists, vanists, surfers, fisherman etc all very friendly. Lovely views of North Bay & the castle, nice walk into town. Keep an eye out for seals, dolphins, peregrins, deer, foxes, and barn owls. Free October to March. Toilets and waste disposal.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

stayed for free overnight and half the day, road was busy, but lovely veiw

  • 5/5

1st one of the year love this place always loads off vans

  • 5/5

stopped here Tuesday night lovely spot no bother , would use again , was quiet due to time of year can imagine gets very busy in summer

  • 3/5

Easy to park and completly free , and there was loads of room with absolutely amazing views. Toilets available 9 till 7 ,40p also an elsen. Bad points: road is very busy and noisy till around 11pm , boy racers going up and down most of the night with noisy exhausts and beeping at each campervan throughout the night.

  • 5/5

we stayed here Jan 2023, it was great, off season so parking was free all day, normally free overnight parking 6-9, The WC (clean) 40p or card payment closed at 5 or 6pm till 9am (also a toilet waste disposal point) We felt extremely safe (surrounded by a few other campers) it was surprisingly quiet, great night, great views, we even stayed a few nights extra after visiting a few towns close by.

  • 5/5

Great position, short walk into town. Toilets closed. Chem loo disposal was great - don’t often see these for free in the UK

  • 5/5

Great location and view. Free from 6pm till 9am, 7 days a week. Newly installed chemical disposal point and clean toilets (40p per use, no showers) too. Very quiet on a weeknight once passing traffic has died down.

  • 4/5

Stayed last night £9 for 24hrs parking. Lots of passing traffic through the day but quietened down by 11pm and someone drove past beeping horn at 6:30am to wake everyone up but we had a good night sleep. Quite a few motorhomes parked up and lovely views .

  • 5/5

The free loos are now being locked 9pm -7am. They’ve installed card reading machines to make them paid for, 24hr loos but they have yet to be switched on. There’s a chemical loo emptying & waste water point available. A great spot still though. Longer vans will need the parallel to road spaces as some of the end in spaces have big rocks behind them (although we found one where the rocks had been moved aside)

  • 4/5

Brilliant parking spot with an amazing view of the sea. Toilets were closed overnight but back open at around 9. Road was noisy until maybe 12/1am but this was on a friday night so might be quieter in the week! Overall a lovely place to park up and we felt safe as there were lots of campers around. There are picnic penches close by too and plenty of bins. Only a 20 minute walk to the south bay!

  • 4/5

73 vans of all shapes & sizes parked here the other night. SBC have now added grey & black disposal to side of loos. Park on right hand side of skate park if you don't want a ticket for overnight camping

  • 5/5

Great parking. stayed for 1 night. brilliant views. toilets were open all night. free between 6pm and 9am. on website it does say no overnight camping. but no cctv or wardens. lots of vans. felt safe. only suggestion is don't park to close to the skate park. lots of youths around there but didn't bother us. was quiet from about 11pm to 7.30am ish then you heard the road noise. would stay again

  • 5/5

Lovely esplanade to park on . £9 pounds for 24 hours with toilets and bins nearby . Noise of traffic dies down about 11pm . Never seen so many Campervan’s parked in one area . Would definitely return , good access to north and south bays .
