Next to the A66 but only accessible via Carleton road so no "passing" traffic, the sports centre is next to it but was quiet enough over night.
Neben der A66, aber nur über die Carleton Road erreichbar, also kein "Durchgangsverkehr", das Sportzentrum liegt daneben, war aber über Nacht ruhig genug.

Horrendous, 10 meters from the A66 dual carriage way which never ever stops! Next to a school entrance, Penrith football club stadium entrance, multi purpose sports field entrance. Friday nights or over the weekend you will probably be pinned in by cars using the sports field. Be careful not to block or partially block a very busy public right of way, passer byes will bang on your vehicle !
Great spot for the night especially when tired as that’ll help with the road noise (which wasn’t that bad really) nice and level Which is the main thing
Great for cheeky over night pit stop on way up to Scotland - next to A66 so a bit of traffic noise - but otherwise fine
Next to A66, but down a quiet side road next to Frenchfield sports centre. lots of traffic on the A66, but didn't really bother us.
Won’t suit everyone but this is a decent little spot. Stayed the night on the way up to Scotland and got a good night sleep. Good find.
