Stayed here Sat night. Parked down the further end where the street lights aren't on. A few cars speeding down the street but otherwise quiet. No parking charges. Morrisons nearby. Great beach for dog walking - and you can walk out to some islands when the tide is low!

Decent place. 2 other motorhomes. Other than a few passers by at night, it was very quiet and calm with a great sea view

  • 5/5

Spending tonight here. Parked on side of road. No signs to say parking restrictions. Lovely view over towards the sea. Good phone signal with internet access good. Morrisons a few mins away. great locations to stop over.

See my previous comment from a year ago. It's still free but the works are nearly finished and the road newly tarmacked. We stayed 2 nights and there was loads of room except when we left Sunday lunchtime. Parked opposite Coronation gardens rather than outside appartments. Only a couple of vans staying.

Mostly open now although still construction work at the north end. No parking charges - yet!

  • 1/5

Promenade closed for whole of summer - once finished free parking highly unlikely and in front of newly built big see wall which is to block out view

  • 4/5

No parking at this precise location currently, due to construction work, but there was room a little further down. This was opposite appartments and with a slight camber but as everyone has said it is gorgeous here and we would definitely come again. £5 gets you a day's train travel to Liverpool, Chester, Southport etc and we loved the West Kirby Tap in town.

What an amazing spot....loved every minute made special memories here. Amazing sunset too.

stayed one night on the part of South Parade that is an extension of Riversdale road... it's a one-way so you have to enter from the top, and had a really nice quiet night, gorgeous long sunset and right next to the route to walk out to the islands and nice cafe at the the sail club. Yes there is building work going on on but as far as I could see this part of the parade was opened.

  • 5/5

Yes there are some works in progress. So far it's just diggers in the carpark, and the overnight parking is still absolutely fine. Walk around the artificial lake this morning was beautiful. Oh and Wirral council have reacted to the 'menace' of campervans by popping a couple of biffa waste containers along the prom. If you *do* decide to charge a few quid for parking here I'll still come.

They are building a flood defense wall this summer so lots of construction work and road closures. When complete there will be parking charges.

An excellent stopover. Great views with facilities close by - Morrisons/Aldi a few mins up the road, library/leisure centre nearby (obviously with toilets/shower etc), beautiful walks along the beach and to the Hilbre Islands. Stayed here many times as I have a friend who lives nearby - never had any problems.

There was a beautiful sunset across the Dee estuary. We enjoyed a peaceful night with no issues. the marine lake is ideal for a morning or evening walk. No sign of parking restrictions. This area can be busy during the daytime but usually clears by early evening.

Roadside parking with great views. Busy during the day with visitors walking to Hilbre Island. Award-winning fish and chips at Marigolds (Banks Road behind Morrisons). Glut of good bars and cafes on this road. Can recommend 625 for food and Wild Inn (my favourite but no food). Rubens opens at 7.30 am weekdays for very good coffee and great bacon sarnies and 8 am on Sundays.

Stopped one night to walk to hilbre island the next morning. Nice little spot woke up to see swimmers in the water next to the van. good phone signal, nice and quiet area

Very convenient location. Stones throw to the city centre. Quiet at night. Level. Friendly locals. Beach and park close. Good 4G. Would recommend.

Stopped here New Years Eve. Really busy to get a spot until early evening. Once got a spot it’s a great location by the sea. Level road side parking. No restrictions and once road noise settles down it’s a quiet sleep. Nice walk around marina. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely spot right along the front overlooking the sea. Does get quite busy in the day time so you might struggle for a spot; even in November! Phone signal good. Road fairly quiet during the night.

Lovely views on the seafront and plenty of parking spaces. Traffic noise till midnight and again from 6 am so not the best nights sleep but deffo OK for 1 night . Morrisons not too far so handy for shopping and toilets.

Stayed 1 night here midweek, only arrived around 9pm and promenade was still quite busy but I had no problem finding a space then had a nice walk around the marina before settling down for the night. Had a great nights sleep and got up refreshed around 6am and had a 5K run around the marina and along the beach. Great spot and plenty of bins and benches along the promenade with a Morrisons close by

Pas adapté pour les grands camping-cars car stationnement le long de la route. Lieu touristique.

Stayed here a few times and love it ! Quiet at night, plenty of litter bins and a supermarket close by for toilets ! Great for walks around the place/along the sands- when tide is out you can walk to the Island. Leisure Centre close by if the sea is to cold to swim.
