Lovely spot with good food and amazing views!
Le pub Swan à Heddon on the Wall dispose d'un grand parking goudronné, relativement plat. Endroit idéal pour séjourner si vous explorez / marchez sur le mur d'Hadrien. Il y a un parking pouvant accueillir jusqu'à quatre camping-cars. Vous devez téléphoner et réserver au 01661 853161 car les numéros sont limités. Pub ouvert de 12h à 11h du lundi au samedi, de 12h à 10h30 le dimanche. Beaucoup de bancs sur une zone herbeuse. Belle vue car vous êtes au sommet d'une colline exposée au sud. Très chien amical. Le personnel est très sympathique, le pub est grand, bien décoré avec un large choix de boissons à la pression. La nourriture est excellente aussi. Il y a des jeux de société à jouer et des livres. Nous avons eu un jeu familial de Ludo. Les toilettes sont propres. Aucun service au pub. Une station-service Shell se trouve dans le village. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour ici et n'hésiterons pas à revenir :-)
The Swan pub in Heddon on the Wall has a large tarmac car park, relatively flat. Perfect place to stay if exploring/walking Hadrians Wall. There is parking for up to four camper vans. You must phone and book in, tel 01661 853161 as numbers are limited. Pub open 12-11 Mon-Sat, 12-10.30 Sunday. Plenty of benches on a grassy area. Lovely views as you’re on top of a hill facing south. Very dog friendly. The staff are very friendly, the pub is large, well decorated with a wide selection of drinks on tap. The food is great too. There’s board games to play and books. We had a family game of Ludo. Toilets are clean. No services at the pub. A Shell petrol station is in the village. We enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to return :-)
Das Swan Pub in Heddon on the Wall hat einen großen asphaltierten Parkplatz, relativ flach. Perfekte Unterkunft, wenn Sie den Hadrianswall erkunden / spazieren gehen. Es gibt Parkplätze für bis zu vier Wohnmobile. Sie müssen anrufen und sich anmelden, Tel. 01661 853161, da die Anzahl begrenzt ist. Pub geöffnet Mo-Sa 12-11, Sonntag 12-10.30. Viele Bänke auf einer Rasenfläche. Schöne Aussicht, da Sie sich auf einem Hügel in Südlage befinden. Sehr hundefreundlich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Pub ist groß, gut eingerichtet und bietet eine große Auswahl an Getränken vom Fass. Das Essen ist auch großartig. Es gibt Brettspiele zu spielen und Bücher. Wir hatten ein Familienspiel Ludo. Toiletten sind sauber. Keine Dienstleistungen in der Kneipe. Eine Shell-Tankstelle befindet sich im Ort. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen :-)

Hay aparcamiento para hasta cuatro furgonetas camper. Debe llamar y reservar, tel 01661 853161 ya que los números son limitados. Pub abierto de lunes a sábado de 12 a 11, domingo de 12 a 10:30. Un montón de bancos en una zona de césped. Preciosas vistas ya que estás en la cima de una colina orientada al sur. Muy amigable con los perros. El personal es muy amable, el pub es grande, está bien decorado y ofrece una amplia selección de bebidas de barril. La comida también es genial. Hay juegos de mesa para jugar y libros. Tuvimos un juego familiar de Ludo. Los baños están limpios. No hay servicios en el pub. Una gasolinera Shell está en el pueblo. Disfrutamos de nuestra estancia aquí y no dudaríamos en volver :-)
Il pub Swan di Heddon on the Wall dispone di un ampio parcheggio asfaltato, relativamente pianeggiante. Posto perfetto in cui soggiornare se si esplora/cammina il Vallo di Adriano. C'è un parcheggio per un massimo di quattro camper. È necessario telefonare e prenotare, tel 01661 853161 in quanto i numeri sono limitati. Pub aperto 12-11 lun-sab, 12-10.30 domenica. Molte panchine su una zona erbosa. Viste incantevoli dato che sei in cima a una collina esposta a sud. Molto adatto ai cani. Il personale è molto cordiale, il pub è grande, ben arredato con un'ampia selezione di bevande alla spina. Anche il cibo è ottimo. Ci sono giochi da tavolo da giocare e libri. Abbiamo giocato a Ludo in famiglia. I bagni sono puliti. Nessun servizio al pub. Nel villaggio c'è un distributore di benzina Shell. Abbiamo apprezzato il nostro soggiorno qui e non esiteremmo a tornare :-)

Er is parkeergelegenheid voor maximaal vier campers. U moet bellen en reserveren, tel 01661 853161 aangezien het aantal beperkt is. Pub open 12-11 ma-za, 12-10.30 zondag. Veel banken op een grasveld. Prachtig uitzicht als je bovenop een heuvel op het zuiden zit. Zeer hondvriendelijk. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, de pub is groot, goed ingericht met een brede selectie drankjes van de tap. Het eten is ook geweldig. Er zijn bordspellen om te spelen en boeken. We hadden een familiespel van Ludo. Toiletten zijn schoon. Geen diensten in de kroeg. In het dorp is een Shell-tankstation. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier en zouden niet aarzelen om terug te keren :-)

el-charro11/04/2024Wunderbarer Parkplatz vom Restaurant „The Swan“. Wir bestellen ein Mittagessen, gingen spazieren und tranken später einige Bier, verbrachten dann die Nacht hier, wunderbar. Keinerlei Entsorgung/ Versorgung. Es lag auf unserem Rückweg zur Fähre welche dann noch ca 35 Minuten entfernt abfuhr…
clarecockroft15/02/2024Great stopover. Very helpful staff. Lovely food. We phoned ahead and had forgotten it was Valentine’s Day but they were still able to accommodate us. Dog friendly. Hadrians wall 5 min walk away. Definitely recommend.
DGRH9027/12/2023Carpark is on a bit much of a slope for my liking but had a nice quiet night here. Chain pub so food is alright and it's nice and clean. Most of the staff are lovely but a couple did make it feel like a burden when I asked about an overnight stay. Overall an OK experience
ekei17/10/2023Stunning views up valley. Best face towards the valley to mitigate any wind exposure. Pub is part of national chain and reserves you a table. Text sent nightly, says “Don’t need your table Clink link above” but no link given. Despite this, couldn’t really deduct a star.
Juju7002/08/2023Carpark nearly full on a Tues night. Food & wine was lovely. Pub shut at 10 & youths playing music arrived at 10.05. luckily they left just after 11. Hadrian's wall is just before the main road behind the hedge.

Great stopover. Friendly welcome. Make sure you phone first. They’ll want you to park on the right of the car park out of the way of deliveries.

Very nice welcoming pub beautiful views from our motorhome especially when all the lights go on over the area .pleasant staff popular pub with good food would defo come again

Nice location for a stopover. I didn't really think I would call it a large car park or particularly level though. The food in the pub was ok, typical pub grub really so as long as that's your expectation then you won't be disappointed. I was the only van there overnight so really quiet and I didn't want a lie in either so I didn't mind the strimmers and mowers going at 7:30. Certainly use again.

Essential to call and book in, book a table at the same time; food is excellent... The designated van spaces seem to have gone but they requested I parked in the farest parking space in case deliveries turned up. I was expected when I arrived and got a welcoming text ahead of my arrival. The staff were excellent and really helpful. No breakfast available and no facilities. Well worth the stopover

We were the first to stay here in our camper van. Great views, friendly staff, quiet and plenty of beers,lager and cider on tap. We are two adults & two children aged 8 & 10. Children’s menu great value. All good was tasty and good quality. We stayed after our meal playing Ludo & enjoying the restful atmosphere of the pub. Definitely recommend staying here, eating & drinking too. We will return.
