Stayed one night here , arrived late so didn’t see the 2 motorhome bays , which were big enough for at least a 7.0m van, fairly quiet, had a few cars turn up through the night but nobody bothered us . Will use this spot again .

Really handy parking area. You have to pay up to 6pm and then it’s free overnight. The toilets are advertised as being closed at night, but they didn’t get locked when we stopped. We had a peaceful nights sleep, and found the constant noise of Felixstowe container port weirdly therapeutic. The only slight annoyance was a couple of boy racers messing around for about 20 mins just before midnight.

We used this for an afternoon stop. Not much other traffic altho it was December. A little noisy from the docks, but would have been happy to stay the night.

It's no longer free to park but we use it often to walk the dog. It walking distance to the viewing point and the amusements but far enough away to keep it quiet. There is a toilet there and some where to fill up with water. A few meters down the road is another car park (with a height barrier!) but you can get light refreshments there.

Family with 2 Kids under 10 years Great for parking but was a nightmare getting into with a 25ft van. Once in we had to pay for 2 bays and there are now signs saying not sleeping, camping in the car park. There was a van next to us that had a ticket. Long walk to pier from this car park. water tap was only to fill bottles we could not pull up next to it.

Decent enough, we only stayed 2 hours for coffee and a walk. £1.70 for the stay didn’t break my bank. Toilets were locked though. We enjoyed it.

Its not free anymore, 4£ for over 4h and you have to pay either by cash or via App. Sadly the parking isnt yet on any of the apps, so I think its rather new this way. The police drove past me and didnt say anything.
