Very nice view, rather noisy which is completely logical as next to the road. Good for a night.

Large lay-by right at the start of the valley in between two mountains. At Mach Loop. Popular for hikers. Stunning views of the valley right next to it. Next to main road.
Großer Rastplatz direkt am Taleingang zwischen zwei Bergen. Bei Mach-Schleife. Beliebt bei Wanderern. Atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Tal direkt daneben. Neben der Hauptstraße. Kein Telefonnetz(4G) Empfang!

2Kiwis30/09/2023Very scenic, and plenty of space - you can get a level spot if you're lucky enough to be on the apex of the park. Reasonably noisy till quite late, and cars started again from approx 5.30. Also, seems to be a Welsh thing, but 3 cars went past in the early hours, sounding their horns. Just what you need. Good off-grid places seem hard to find around this area, but if you must I'd suggest ear plugs
nearlydutchdan25/08/2023very convenient, lot's of space - couple of camper vans. there was a 6.11 alarm car driving by with horn blaring (who does that?) zero www but road is pretty quiet at night.

We stopped here late Thursday night but no bother finding a space. A few other vans and lorries here but it was very quiet. The lay-by did get busy around 6am with walkers etc but all in all we thought it was a great place for a night stop.
theclaire10/02/2023large lay by parked at 1800 and another van joined later no hassle no signal at all due to location stunning views and walks straight from the lay by noisy traffic surprisingly till quite late and from 0600am

We had a nice stay here. We arrived at 7:30pm & it had 1 other van. When we woke at 7am there were about 4 other vehicles. Still plenty of space for more. We didn’t find the road too busy/noisy at all & slept well. The only problem was we didn’t get any signal on our phones. There are plenty of similar park-ups on this stretch of road so you have a lot to choose from.

Large lay-by at the base of the mountain paths for the Mach Loop. Very busy from 9am, gets quiet after 5pm. We stayed 1 night. The road is quite busy and we were woken by a lorry horn at 5am! Great base if you want to climb to watch the fly-bys.

We stayed here for 1 night. Great place to park up, but there was a few long beeps by passing traffic around 8pm & 10pm. We’re pretty stealth in our van but there was a motorhome there too. Traffic noise is pretty loud. Lay-by filled up pretty quickly from 8am but we heard there was a scheduled navy flyby so people were taking chairs up the mountainside to watch. Don’t think we’d stay again.
