Grand parking municipal donnant sur l'estuaire Torridge. Toilettes à disposition. Maximum 2 nuits.

Large municipal carpark overlooking the Torridge Estuary. Toilets available. Max 2 nights.

Nice location, town had a nice vibe but parking is way too expensive! Toilets were dirty. Would be nice but they are being too greedy with £15 a night for a car park!

  • 1/5

Ridiculously expensive to stay here. Must be the dearest car park in Devon. You might as well pay a few pounds more and stay on a site with showers and electricity. Won't be back.

  • 4/5

Easy place to park up, a good view and amazing village. But it does work out expensive.

  • 4/5

I have stayed here off and on for 6 years…. I can categorically say, warden doesnt start work until 8am. Why spend £15 on a bay when you could park on the road for free? Spend £15 in a local business and cut out the middleman/council.

  • 4/5

Lovely town with plenty of great pubs etc. No parking for motorhomes along the river front but that actually wasn’t a problem. Toilets open all night. Quiet place overnight. It says £15 per night and long vehicles have to pay for two bays. We paid via app only had the option to pay for 24 hours was £7.70 and there are bays which have space behind them to overhang and it not be a second bay.

  • 4/5

parked here tonight for the night few other vans just arrived paid ,£7.50 ,then read it says motorhomes £15 but I'm a camper so take a chance

  • 4/5

£15 a night. Well kept toilets open all night. Was quite noisy in the morning with people coming and going. Nice pub over the road.

  • 2/5

Für einen Stellplatz über Nacht ist das viel zu teuer. Für Wohnmobile über 5m Länge muss man nämlich doppelte Parkgebühren bezahlen. Statt 15£ 30£. Das ist abzocke.

  • 1/5

too busy in summer though quieter through winter months. too expensive and busy to warrant a great night sleep in "motorjome season"

  • 4/5

£30 per night. Lovely setting and 24hr toilets. The car park can be fairly busy.

  • 3/5

Was a beautiful spot but the increase in parking charges is obscene. Was £5 now £15. It’s a real shame as the car park was empty, I think the council have got far to greedy and will be missing out on much need revenue for the local economy. Will not stay again.

  • 1/5

Used to be a great little stop, but £15 a night is way too much

  • 1/5

Now £15 per night. Rip off.

  • 5/5

An excellent stop but the price for a motor home or camper van to stay overnight from 6pm - 10am has increased to £15 per night from 19/04/21. I stayed the night before the increase and only paid £5. Would I pay £15? I’m not sure.

Parked at the far end, side on to the estuary. Looking out the side door we were about 10 metres from the water. A great view to wake up to. One other van pulled up later in the evening and also stayed for the night. Quiet and peaceful but it is the beginning of January! A great walk to Northern Burrows from the park up should take about half an hour each way.

Stayed for 2 nights in December just after lockdown 2.0. Very quiet and peaceful spot. Excellent value for money with lovely views and nice walk along the estuary to Westward Ho. Paid by Ringo. Toilets open until 6pm this time of year. 3 other campers in the car park but looked to be locals long term parking and not overnight sleeping.

Stayed here in my American RV which is 2.5 metres wide X 9.5 metres long .once you are parked up you will get great views of the estuary and a good variety of shops takeaways pubs. as said by others it is a maximum of 2 nights stay and you pay for each space you take up

  • 4/5

Lovely place with walks and many pubs. Nice view of sea when parked but also quite busy. Parking in confusing as you need to buy tickets to get to the total you want if in doubt ask the ticket wardens they are about alot. toilets onsite and very clean. only the disabled open during the night.

  • 5/5

Amazing view of the water, sleeping LISTENING to it. my motorhome covers 2 bays so is £10 for the night 6pm to 10am. if u fit into 1 bay then only £5 defo worth it

  • 5/5

First time staying here. Very busy with lots of motorhomes and campervans. Got here dead on 6pm and glad we did as it soon filled up. Short walk to shops pubs and restaurants.

Have stayed before. Tried again. Beautiful views, but woken by extremely rude & obnoxious parking attendant knocking on window because we were not displaying a ticket. This is because we had paid on the app and showed him evidence of this. He said we had to pay £10 again, despite already having paid for our 2 bays via the app. Don’t think we’ll be returning.

  • 5/5

Amazing beautiful spot! You have to pay for two spaces if you have any overhang but so worth it and still good value. Amazing views!

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot And as others have already said better views and location than many campsites. Unfortunately, as novice motorhomers, we made the school-boy error of parking in a centre bay slap bang in the middle of the car park and by 6pm we were completely hemmed in on all sides by cars parking for the night and found it impossible to pull out of our space. We decided to stay there for the night and luckily by 7am the next morning enough cars had moved to provide space for us to swing out. Top tip - ensure you park your motor home on the end of a row or better still the very first row of spaces just in front of the yellow box by the slipway and that way you won’t get hemmed in.

Lovely spot , great view , 3 pubs & a chippy what more could you need ! a good £5 spot for the night . we have a lwb Sprinter

  • 5/5

Lovely spot to overnight. toilets available in the car park. short walk to village shops and bars. right on the riverfront.

  • 5/5

Amazing find, better than a lot of campsites right now with all the Covid restrictions. Parked up right by the water, fairly busy all night but was quiet around 10. Showers and running water not functional as of 20 Jul 2020.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, quiet. The parking machines take card. There is a chip shop around 150 metres away.

  • 5/5

Just a fantastic way of staying in a lovely location. Just one comment about the vans not displaying a ticket - a lot of people pay online now so no ticket is issued. Doesn’t mean they haven’t paid!

  • 5/5

Friday night in January, a few other campervans here and all is quiet. I wish a few other councils eg Cornwall would do the same. This is a great amenity!

  • 4/5

Brilliant park up. Do not abuse it please! Buy a ticket and enjoy the town and the view. Peaceful and friendly place.

  • 5/5

Ein sehr schöner Stellplatz auch für große Caravans. Toiletten sind sauber. Wir haben für unseren über 7 m langen Caravan 3 Euro für 24 Stunden bezahlt.

  • 5/5

Great overnight spot. View of the estuary is lovely. Very quiet. Only £5 per night with toilets, cold shower and drinking water fountain. Two closeby pubs and a chippy.

  • 3/5

Avoid Saturday nights. Lots of vans and a lot of drunk people making noise until very late. Many vans using the car park without paying, quick walk around shows that less than half the vans were displaying tickets. If these people abuse the council’s generosity the facility will be withdrawn. Pay up you skinflint scum!

  • 4/5

Comfortable night. A little noise from nearby skate park but it didn't go on too late. Choice of pubs and places to eat even in February. £5 per night, per space occupied. 2 nights maximum stay.

  • 4/5

A nice place to stay overnight. Toilets and only £5 for the night.

  • 5/5

Really nice place to stay, very peaceful, lots of other campers and good fish and chips!

  • 5/5

We are here at the moment and really really nice with stunning views and £5 per night and £3 per day brilliant
