Stayed one night after arriving on the boat from N Ireland. Good spot to stop very busy with lorries but still managed to get a space. A bit of traffic noise but not enough to keep you awake. Good internet signal

Achim4328/06/2023Schön, wenn man in der Stadt frei und mit Toiletten vor der Tür stehen kann. Wenn man jedoch autark ist, gibt es schönere Plätze in der Nähe am Firth of Clyde. Wir hatte uns schon den ganzen Tag auf den gelobten Fish-and-Chips-Laden am Platz gefreut, fanden das Ergebnis aber eher unterdurchschnittlich.

Für eine Nacht voll in Ordnung, nach der Fährüberfahrt. Und nicht windig im Gegensatz zu den Plätzen am Meer.

Stayed here for one night, sheltered from windy seafront area. No Seaview however is free and better value than the seafront area which charges £10 and doesn't even have toilets. Toilets here were clean and had hot water in taps, built up housing around us but quiet. Close to local shops, takeaways and an asda just up the road.

After a very windy night, moved to this carpark. Just what we needed. Sheltered, close to town, fish and chip shop and icecream parlour. Toilets nearby and free of charge. Ok didn't get sea view but far better than paying £10 a night for no facilities or working showers. If you want a shower go to the swimming baths. Much better value.

A great find and recommended by some locals when it was too windy to park on the front. A good size car park with street lighting, bins and public toilets (though I didn’t use them I saw they were being cleaned). Close to harbour and fish and chip shop. Safe and quiet.
