Nice place to stay if you want to be alone in nature. We were here in February and the track is not in great condition but still passable with some determination. Slightly hard to find a flat spot but plenty of rocks lying about to use as levellers. As others have said do not follow google maps from Monsaraz as the track down from the town is not drivable - but can be used to walk up to the town!
Très bon emplacement ! Belle vue sur le village de Monsaraz, très calme. La nuit on entend légèrement les grelots des troupeaux de moutons et le braiment de l’âne. Idéal pour un van. Le meilleur emplacement est sous l’arbre près de l’église abandonnée. Bien situé pour visiter Monsaraz, et aller à la plage fluviale où l’on peut se baigner et profiter des activités nautiques.

Meadow with abandoned church in middle of fields. Amazing view to the nearby village and surrounding landscape. It is possible to get here with motorhome.

Tranquilo sí que es, pero muy pequeño y bastante inclinado. El acceso, incluso por la carretera general, es pista en mal estado. No recomendable para AC.
Lovely quiet spot - with a great view try to arrive in the light to find best flat parking - don’t follow first satnav direction from Monsaraz but approach from down the hill .
Superbe endroit. Nous y avons passé la nuit sans aucun dérangement. Les chiens aboyaient à côté de la citadelle mais on les entends a peine d'ici. Attention si vous arrivez de la citadelle que le gps ne vous fasse pas couper par la piste qui est chaotique. Mieux vaut redescendre d'abords par la route.
