This place used be amazing and free. Now it's all fenced off with pay and display and ANPR camera. I've spent maybe 400 nights here over the years and there was never a problem. No rubbish left, no loud music. Either this is money grabbing or the locals are Karens.

As mentioned, a £25 per night charge with signs explaining the charge is to discourage overnight camping but allow it for those that really want the views. spoke to regulars who said it used to be rammed and with rubbish left everywhere, so genuinely don't blame them. Had a brilliant night, with 360' views. ANPR cameras being installed to enforce the parking fees. No height Barriers.

Sadly no longer free but still a great park up. Stunning views, very peaceful. Great spot for hiking and biking. About 6 motorhomes/vans when I stayed and plenty of space for more.

New fencing installed to prevent camping. No overnight stays permitted. Spoilt by people having fires and parties.

Beautiful spot away from the road with a couple of other campers for company. Great find

No signs, no height barrier, 11 motorhomes when we were there, plenty of space! Very cloudy as the clouds rolled in but very peaceful

Great stop over nice views plenty of space with some bins on site too you may have to use levels as it’s is a bit uneven in places a few others there all friendly

Fabulous place to stay over. Great views, no hassle and plenty of room.

Great stay for both vans and campers. The atmosphere is so peaceful with everyone parking or passing by being friendly and discreet. The view is amazing. Please be respectful so it can continue to be free for everyone.

As said great spot but vert busy in the day. No overnight parking signs all along the fence.

A lot of dog walkers park here during the day, so tends to get quite busy. As the night fell, the car park was a lot quieter with a few other campers around. The ground is a bit uneven and can get quite muddy, so please take care when coming after a big downpour like we did. Luckily we have quite a bit of ground clearance so no issues. Very quiet during the night, bonus was waking up to sheep.

Free, quiet and beautiful views. Only downsides - it’s on the top of a large hill so might be harder for heavier vehicles (our medium motorhome made it up fine) also, the ground is very uneven with lots of pot holes and dips. But once your at the top, it’s so worth it. One of favourite spots in the South East.

Just brilliant , quite a few vans here but quiet and all respectful . Great before the ferry to France

Stayed the night and will definitely do so again. Plenty of space for vans and although fairly rough ground reasonably level. Lane access a bit narrow in one or two places but mainly good. Felt completely safe and shared with half a dozen or so vans. A bit windy due to height of location but brilliant views across the Downs to the sea. Big rubbish bins so no excuse to spoil things for others.
