Brilliant site in a stunning location! Excellent pub just down the road.
Camping fantastique sur un site national de confiance. Nous n'avions pas réservé et nous sommes juste passés à la réception pour obtenir un parking pour notre Caddy Maxi pour la nuit pour 27 en haute saison, 3 des 11 espaces MH ne peuvent pas être réservés en ligne. Si vous arrivez tôt, demandez simplement à la réception une place. Des installations fantastiques pour descendre de la montagne et prendre une douche chaude. Des installations de lavage et de rinçage sont également disponibles. C'était juste un super camping. Je le recommanderais sans hésiter et j'y retournerais sans hésiter. Ps. Il n'y a pas de réception 4G dans toute la vallée.
Fantastic campsite on a national trust site. We had not booked and just dropped by reception to get parking for our Caddy Maxi for the night for £27 in high season, 3 out of the 11 MH spaces cannot be booked online. If you are there early, just ask at reception for a seat. Fantastic facilities to get off the mountain and have a hot shower. Washing and rinsing facilities are also available. It was just a great campsite. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. Ps. There is no 4G reception in the whole valley.
Fantastischer Campingplatz auf einer nationalen Vertrauensstelle. Wir hatten nicht gebucht und sind einfach an der Rezeption vorbeigekommen, um einen Parkplatz für unseren Caddy Maxi für die Nacht für 27 in der Hochsaison zu bekommen, 3 von den 11 MH-Plätzen kann man nicht im Internet buchen. Wenn ihr früh da seit einfach bei der Reception nach einen Platz fragen. Fantastische Einrichtungen, um vom Berg zu kommen und eine heiße Dusche zu nehmen. Auch Wasch- und Spülmöglichkeiten stehen zur Verfügung. Es war einfach ein toller Campingplatz. Kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen und würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten. Ps. Im ganzen Tal gibt es kein 4G Empfang.

laura252925/06/2023Fully booked online & signs at campsite said full, I asked at reception (after seeing reviews on here) & they said we could stay in one of the 3 pitches over the back next to the main car park for Scafell Pike. £37 for 1 night w/o EHU. Showers good, but hot. Basic hairdryer in shower block. 1 washing machine (£5 for a token at reception), 2 tumble dryers - only 1 working (£1/20mins). No signal.

Great campsite! Lovely facilities and great location, no phone signal on the campsite but walk a few minutes to a bridge nearby and you get 4G if needed! Can’t wait to come back and do some more exploring :)

Stopped here for two nights £59 didn't book a pitch just arrived and fitted us in near to the carpark which was very loud during the night with walkers doing the 3 peaks the showers and toilets clean and modern shop on site and a pub 20min walk up the road with free WiFi and good beer and food staff on site very friendly and helpful

Beautiful Campsite nestled between Great Gable, the main path for Scafell Pike and countless other hikes. There is a pub a short walk away which has great food. Showers included in the cost and Laundry was 4 pounds. We arrived without a booking and were offered to stay in their car park as we didn't need electric hookup. The guy who runs the site couldn't have been more helpful!

Very clean facilities, camping site was fully booked (mid August) but we were offered to stay in the parking area.
