January 2020 : Park up from 9pm - 10am. Set by a stream at the base of Mount Snowdon this rest area is quite long. Separated from the road by a grass verge so very safe. Quiet road with barely any cars that just pass by in seconds. “Leave It As You Found It”.

nice little spot, parked at 7 and left at 7 am without being disturbed. Road was quite busy until about 11pm but it was a bank holiday weekend. Had I known about it though, I would have paid the very small fee for staying at the copper mine car park just down the road 200 yards - had a look in it in the morning - it's very secluded, off the road and there were 5 or 6 campervans and space for 20

nice and flat could fit 2 lwb vans. only point is it is liable for flooding which I didn't see the sign for till I left the next morning. but get lovely views

Great spot! Having read the previous comment I’d have to disagree that 4 LWB vans could park here. They would fit but it would mean no other vehicles could pull into the layby - sketchy in the nighttime. The layby is widest in the middle and that’s where I parked in my SWB T4. That left enough room for cars to park. In the photo the T5 has parked to one end which is nice and wide and leaves loads of room for the layby to be used. The road was very quiet during the night, it was a Sunday in December but it seems it’s always like that. Despite a storm and a few gusts I slept like a log, no hassle. Hope this helps!

Stayed a couple of nights while walking SW routes around Snowdon. Nice level ground, room for 4 LWB type campers (parallel to road). Road isn’t too busy and didnt suffer from crosswinds -even tho it was gusty everywhere else! Nice stream over the wall to dip feet :)
