This is the Bo Peep car park. No signs related to overnight parking/sleeping. Quite leveled ground. Beautiful view all around. Hikers in the morning from 7am. Not exactly an error, but the photos show a space that isn’t exactly the car park. It’s through a gate next to the path to the car park itself. The car park is to the left where you can see the path turning. And it’s larger than what the photos show. (Edit by smallstones.)

Dies ist der Parkplatz Bo Peep. Keine Schilder zum Parken / Schlafen über Nacht. Ziemlich ebener Boden.

This has a lovely view, and very quiet. It would be great in the summer as it was very windy while we stay in April. There are no facilities, so take your rubbish with you! There are a few level spots, and a few spots that are sloped. The lane that leads up to the park up is steep and bumpy, entrance to the park up had a few potential holes. Signal is good on EE & 02.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot! Patchy signal on 3…. Three other vans with us one inconsiderate parking so plz don’t park long ways! If your too long go elsewhere…. Dog walkers in the morning - free but rumours of this place going to ANPR are about! Let’s look after it the best we can. Very windy but we liked that - toilets at Beachy head national trust and the Chaplin office car parks

5 stars for us. We arrived in the late afternoon and some cars from hikers were there and some campers were also parked there for the night. Very quiet evening (but if it's windy, you will feel it!) and you get a beautiful sunrise when you wake up in the middle of the South Downs. Really loved it here!

  • 5/5

Incredible views over the South Downs. Some parts of the car park are level too. Road surface not great, though

  • 5/5

Stayed here 2 nights. Really peaceful . Great views also. There appear to be some vans here permanently, but there is still room. Patchy 3 mobile coverage. No facilities.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot. Arrived at night, so I wasn't sure what was surrounding us nature wise, beautiful views of the south downs and towards Seaford. There was about 5 campers that stayed that night also.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Magnifique spot, magnifique vue.

  • 5/5

Stunning place to stop over, satnav postcode spot on, cool breeze coming up the valley from the sea beyond, side door open, warm sunshine, peaceful, four other large MH plenty of room, no amenities, just a breathtaking view to watch the sun go down, which happens to be free. Perfik!

  • 5/5

A gorgeous spot, right out of the way. Really peaceful and beautiful with many other fellow campers enjoying the nature spot also. We arrived around 5pm and had no trouble parking and I would recommend arriving around then or after 8pm when all the walkers and cyclist have left the main carpark.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Moved from Firle on recommendation from others. Level site, no barriers and free. Awesome views.

  • 5/5

Quiet, lovely view. Popular spot but does empty out later in evening.

  • 5/5

This is a real good spot, right up in the south downs on the hills with incredible views, amazing dusks and dawns and access to hiking trails. This is a very popular spot, busy every night of the week during Summer. Only issue I’ve had with this spot is kids burning around on dirt bikes through the car park late at night

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Super parking avec vue exceptionnelle. Terrain plat. En plein été : pas complet. Beaucoup de vent par contre.

  • 5/5

stayed here last night. It is a perfect stop of point, mostly level gravely stone car park, views to the sea on a clear day even see the wind turbines out at sea the most picturesque of scenery lovely walks for miles . thier were 10 campers vans here and me in my audi a4 estate tbh I felt really safe will come back again. phone signal great and mobile data signal great too.

  • 3/5

VERY busy in day with dog walkers/hikers etc and car park filled at night! Including me, there were 8 vans/motorhomes , plus several cars filled with couples getting it on in the back seat! But had a good night’s sleep once the cars left (midnight ish). Dog walkers and hikers arriving from 6.30am. Don’t think I’d stay again as too busy for me, but view is absolutely incredible though!

  • 5/5

Lovely spot to spend a night on the country side. Just a large gravel parking, room for 10 campers. Nice view, calm and quiet.

  • 5/5

It's a great park up spot. It's not level, but the views on a good day make it wonderfully worthwhile.

  • 5/5

Spent a very pleasant night here last night with 6 other vans, disturbed only by the occasional bleeting of sheep from the field next door. Great walking / cycling routes leading off in 3 directions, Phone signal is pretty rubbish in the car park but the views more than make up for it…

  • 5/5

Stunning location, when we were there last night , everyone respectful of the location. Let's just hope they don't start charging for staying like the other location a few miles away . Worth the 1.5 mile ( total ) to the trig point to the west .

  • 5/5

A really great spot to camp with others. signs of a fire behind the car park are worrying as they will clamp down so please do not have fires etc.

  • 4/5

Beautiful views of countryside and sea, no height restrictions, surrounded be sheep fields, great for walking, one other van but otherwise no one else there between 8pm and 7am. Ground is fairly flat, but with a slight slope back to front. Room for maybe 10 vehicles.

  • 5/5

What a beautiful spot, slept so well. Joined by 3 other vans. Fairly level solid ground. Hikers/walkers started arriving around 6am. If you like walking then you can follow the trail to Alfriston one way or Firle Beacon the other. Lots of sheep and sweet lambs, they do escape the field into the car park but manage to find there way back again

  • 5/5

Nice spot, stayed 1 night with no issues. 2 other vans. As others mention, can get a bit windy

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

    lovely and quiet, lovely views.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot, especially for sunset/sunrise. Hard ground with great views and nice walks around.

  • 5/5

great spot, mud not an issue as it's hard ground. looking forward to the day light view, lots of stars out last night. Only one other camper here but loads of room.

  • 3/5

Oh my this place is beautiful. Big car park but it’s slopping. But we didn’t sleep a wink - the wind at night made it seem like we were a boat at a stormy sea. So sad on such a great place!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here for two nights. Had the company of other vans both nights. No issues, great spot!

  • 5/5

Great spot up on the South Downs next to the foot path with views across to the coast, a very quiet nights sleep. Be aware it can get windy, two porta loos in the car park are strapped down!

  • 4/5

Nice place, very calm. Has a walk that start from the car park. Only downside is it was very windy at night, the van was shaking all night

  • 4/5

Great spot, with great walks and views, stayed here a few times without problem. Unfortunately we stayed last Friday and several boy racers were doing donuts and kicking up stones. One car stopped and threw a stone at the van, so we moved to the spot down the road that’s a bit hidden. Probably wouldn’t stay there again on a weekend.

  • 5/5

What a view!!! Stunning sea view one way and the Weald behind you. Quiet spot to camp, super safe, shared with a few other campers, a nice alternative to inner city Brighton choices

  • 5/5

Hatten eine super Nacht dort. Perfekte Aussicht aufs Meer. Standen mit T5

  • 5/5

Flat stony car park. Space for several cars/vans. Quiet at night and amazing views across fields to the sea. I stayed a few nights and a full day just relaxing. No bother at all. Great walking along the South Downs Way. Other walkers coming and going during the day but all friendly.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night with 4 other vans very peaceful nights sleep. Great views will definitely stay again carpark dose get busy during the day from around 9am with dog walkers and other visitors

  • 5/5

Beautiful place, lots of spaces, few other campers but very quiet nights sleep

  • 5/5

Great spot. Stayed here with only 2 other campers Lovely view of the sea and 4g

  • 4/5

very popular spot with walkers, dog walkers, para gliders, campers, doggers. car park was full by early evening, so my advice is to get there early if staying overnight.

  • 4/5

Lush spot. Great easy walking in both directions and views all around. Kestrels about. Bit exposed to the sea breezes (it is on top of a hill) and it got a bit busy considering it’s February but it was a Friday. The hill wasn’t all that steep in the end, seen worse.

  • 5/5

When we arrived just after sunset we were the only ones there, within a few hours a couple more group arrived, very respectful and quiet. Lovely views in both directions. We will be back!

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot at the top of the South Downs. You can look North & see the North Downs in the distance or South for sea views. Rather exposed so buffered by the wind but you don’t get views like this in sheltered spots. Just lovely lying in bed & listening to the sounds of horses clopping by. To be cherished.

  • 5/5

A lovely place to park with great walks and amazing views. A bit bumpy at the entrance but no real bother and plenty of space for an undisturbed night. No rubbish bins that I could see so be sure to take yours away with you and hopefully we can keep this as a terrific free nights stay.

  • 5/5

    Great place! Amazing views! :)

  • 5/5

Super views in every direction. Quite level but a large pothole at entrance. Very quiet night spent with 4 other vans.

  • 5/5

Been there at least 20 times and still loves it. it's lovely place in summer and even in winter. There is definitely more than 5 spaces, there is 2 car parks one gravel and also there is another one where you can park on grass. Can be very busy during sunny days and also very windy.

  • 5/5

One of our favourite spots to walk the dog and have a meal in our van. Very steep hill but worth it for the views. Car park is busy but we’ve always found a spot for our hymer. Never spent the night yet because it is so close to home for us but others do stay overnight. Check the wind forecast first tho - it’s completely exposed to the elements here.
