When this was a fiver you'd get 20 vans, motorhomes. Got the place to myself Friday night for £20. can't see how that works for the council but heyho

  • 4/5

New £20 charge. No facility just parking. Beautiful place but try park on either side of the street just before car park barrier for FREE. Locals don’t mind as it’s not in front of any houses

stayed here 23rd October 2022. Nice spot with fantastic views and the sunset was lovely. slight slope towards the sea however the end 2 spots are quite level. we paid £5 for a night and £1 for family of 5 to enter the pier. as of 24th October 2022 they will be charging £20.00 per night, if I had paid this price I would drop down to 2 stars. friends site, friendly people!

  • 5/5

Lovely location second time we have stayed. In conversation with the volunteer on the gate of the pier Bangor Council in it's wisdom has decided that from next month the charge will be £20 a night. Well I love the location but that will be the last time we stay here. Another great location effectively. closed by a myopic local.authority.

Brilliant stopover, paid £5 at the kiosk to stay overnight they were really friendly told us where the water top up tap was and the toilets were close by ,, as is a pub stayed 2 nights ….money helps to renovate the pier so please use honesty box if barrier is up and no one is in the kiosk..

  • 5/5

Very close to friendly pub with good pub grub, flat enough car park facing the Menai Straight. Public convenience at one end of car park. Cafe on the end of the pier is good opening at 8.00.

  • 5/5

Great overnight stop next to the pier. Lovely cafe at the end and really close to the city. Paid £5 for overnight. No height restrictions in place.

  • 4/5

Great little stop, sloping but not excessively. Paid £5 at the pier kiosk, short walk to the city.

  • 4/5

5£ for overnighting, to be paid at pier en trance kiosk. Nice lady there adviced us to park at seafront when restaurant visitors would go home. We measure 7.5 meters but there would be no Trouble in the morning she said.

  • 5/5

Nice cafe open late at the end of the pier and pub right across the road.

  • 4/5

For 5£ you can stay overnight.

  • 4/5

Stayed here Monday night, very peaceful once the restaurant closed. Barrier working so £1.50 to enter. Lots of trucks coming and going from 8am. Pier opened around 9am so I had a lovely walk down to the end. Toilets open 9am.

  • 3/5

barrier working didn't try overnight. probably possible

  • 5/5

stayed here last night arriving at around 8.00. there were around 3 spots at that time but the Italian restaurant closed around 10.00 and most of the cars had left by that time. there is an Honesty box to pay £1.50 because the barrier is broken. not really level but nice and quiet after 10.30. beautiful view in the morning

  • 5/5

Came here tonight after reading other comments. We where stuck in Anglesey struggling to find somewhere. First impressions are really good. Amazing views. For £1.50 it's a great spot. Will definitely come back.

  • 4/5

Perfect spot. Difficulty to get in because the machine didn’t work. Come after 7 pm to find a free spot. Nice view, toilet at 50 m

  • 5/5

Plenty of space for a LWB sprinter Coffee shops on the pier, pub in view of the carpark Good 4G coverage (3/EE) Public toilets currently closed. 2 portable toilets in carpark instead free for use Chap at the pier desk said it's £5 for campervans overnight. Signs not yet updated

  • 5/5

Stayed here when visiting children who are at Bangor University. 10/15 minute stroll away from main campus. 5 other motorhomes, a bit of noise from the restaurant until approx 10.30 but then beautifully peaceful. Fantastic view to wake up to. Toilets clean and stocked up (husband says only urinal in gents - so be aware if you want to use for number 2s) Will definitely use again.

  • 5/5

Perfect for a night. Nice and quiet. 4G

  • 4/5

great stopover - highly recommended if you have your own toilet facilities. £1.50 in coins raises barrier to get in. excellent cafe at end of pier with good views down menai straits.

  • 5/5

Brilliant. £1.50 to park, pay in 50p's. Large spaces to the left as you go in, there is a slope but less so towards the disabled spaces at the entrance left and right. Short walk to BP petrol station which has a decent shop, 0.5 mile to aldi.

  • 5/5

fab place to stay over for £1.50, great to wake up next to the sea. Great pub Tap & Spile 50 yds away, food was lovely and nice atmosphere. would definitely use again.

  • 5/5

stayed last night and as stated Barrier £1.50. slight slant didn't bother us. 4 more vans stayed the night. council emptying bins at 8ish am. however good night's sleep. bit of grassy area to walk dog and a couple of dog friendly pubs in walking distance. not to mention a nice water view and pier to wake up to. Will definitely go again. in hope that there is room as am only a little motorhome .

  • 1/5

    barrier closed 1934

  • 5/5

Great stop over, very quiet, couple of other vans. Lovely views. Toilet was closed when we got here which was just after 5. There is a toilet at the garage, just a few minutes walk away. Close to a couple of pubs and eateries and £1.50 to get in. Certainly would use this again.

  • 4/5

Nice view. Very quiet too.£.150 barrier entry and able to stay overnight. CASH ONLY. it can also be a bit fiddly putting coins in and might take a few attempts. Toilets are available but closed from 6pm (approx). Pier a nice walk and local pub nearby (didn't try). Sports centre 7min walk and allowed us to use there showers (£2.20 each), which is also near a big aldi for a top up.

  • 5/5

Nice little stop over £1.50 to get through barrier and £3.50 to stay overnight Paid the £3.50 at the entrance to the pier Took the dog for a walk to the Nelson then had a few drinks and a meal at the Tap and Spile just outside of the carpark. Had a very piece full night with only one other camper van on the carpark, nice little cafe on the pier and mentioned they do breakfast from 10am

  • 4/5

V good location. Felt safe. £1.50 entrance through barrier.

  • 4/5

Fabulous place to park overnight. £1.50. Next to the pier. Short walk to town. About 45 mins walk to the Menai Bridge. Would 100% stay here again.

  • 4/5

Carpark with a slight but manageable slope. £1.50 to enter, machine didn’t work for me but the lady at the pier barrier opened the swingarm for me. Only one staying last night. Peaceful, but windy. Would stay again.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot, really quiet. 50p coins, 20s and 10s all work for the barrier. The pub does live music again on Wednesday’s

  • 4/5

Payment barrier faulty, so paid twice to get in, slope but managabel. Quiet ,safe.great view. The attendant at the pier (open till8pm) has a remote control to open barrier if your payment ist working ,see him seemed helpful .we stayed over night no issues

  • 5/5

Used for one night with mid size motorhome. Generous bays, bit of a slope but easy to trim out. Pier is a pleasant walk. Very good park up. Local people we met were very friendly no hostility here.

  • 5/5

Stayed one night, machine took 50p pieces but not £1 coins, bit of a slope, council worker asked me not to park neae the green bins

  • 1/5

Machine isn’t taking money. Well it is. It’s stealing it. Waste of time driving there

  • 5/5

Great stopover for a night or two.

  • 5/5

A great place. We stayed for one night. Still £1.50 which you pay at the electric barrier and opens automatically when you leave. Car park isn't flat but we managed level off. There were two other vans parked up, very quite so slept very well. local pub doing 2 meals for £15 so made advantage of that. will be back.

  • 4/5

Amazing little spot to watch the sunset and fantastic views of the Menai and the pier. £1.50 to park all day, we popped up the pier for a wander and chatted to lovely shop owners who were more than happy for us to stay the night, only thing was no toilets (there might have been some at the restaurant at the end of the pier but we didn’t need)

  • 4/5

Stayed for 1 night and had no issues and a peaceful night's sleep. lovely views of the Menai and pier.

  • 4/5

Not a flat car park as previously mentioned and the public toilets close at night but for £1.50 to park all day you it’s not that bad

  • 4/5

We enjoyed a couple of nights here with lovely views of the Menai Straits. Bangor Pier had a few kiosks and a cafe at the far end. It took about 10 minutes to walk into Bangor for food shopping and seeing the cathedral. £1.50 to enter the car park!! Great value!

  • 3/5

Not great for our 7 metre van but the guys working here told me to park by the play area fence, there were already 4 vans that had stayed overnight.

  • 4/5

Quiet spot, nice views, sloping car park but not too bad. Still £1.50 entrance fee via barrier, toilets at barrier and pier open until 9pm. 5 vans here last night so getting more popular. Do not park up to buildings as the warden will ask you to move away from them as 2 had too last night.

  • 3/5

    Nice spot but isn't flat!

  • 5/5

Stayed 7th June. Left for a day on Anglesey morning of 8th and returned for a 2nd night as it was such a good spot. Great views, a toilet block open approx 8:00am - 5:00pm and quiet at night. Plenty of facilities within 10 minutes walk. Speaking to a council worker, it looks like the new £1.50 charge is temporary while they consider a more substantial charge. I hope they don't make it too high

  • 5/5

Me and my wife stayed here you pay £1.50 at the barrier and just park up. Nobody bothered us spoke to the man at the house on site who works for the council and he said we was OK to park up for the night great views and clean toilets nearby
