Friendly man at tolls who has no problem with overnight campers. Busy in the day but not too bad at night. Stunning views and would def go back. There’s a cafe on site and toilets when you use the cafe! £7.50 on the way up and then if staying overnight £7.50 on the way out. Great find!

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. Friendly toll keeper, welcomes you stay over night with an additional charge on the way out the following day. Bit exposed to the wind

  • 3/5

Beautiful views of Penmon Point lighthouse and pebble beach. Cafe on site. Charged £7.50 toll on way up and £7.50 again, the following day coming down. A bit steep for an area with no facilities but I understand the land needs looking after. Only 1 other camper staying the night but cars we’re coming up and down at all times of the night so a very disturbed sleep.

  • 3/5

a lovely busy tourist spot. shame to see vans setting up camp, wind breaks, awnings, kitchen area, taking up space and giving all campers a bad reputation. those visiting for the day struggled to park. It's selfish if you wnat that set up, go to a camp site. however, u can stay if u pay for both days. its very scenic

  • 1/5

DO NOT STAY HERE. You will have to pay £7.50 and if there is no space or you basically not happy there you will NOT receive money back. Even you’ve been there 10 minutes.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night a little hidden gem. Beautiful views and well worth every penny. Happy for you to stay over night just keep it clean.

  • 1/5

Was a great little place but we stayed last night, it’s overcrowded with well over 20 vans etc staying the night and no toilets so be careful when venturing into the long grass.

  • 4/5

Really lovely spot right by the beach and lighthouse. Signs on arrival say no overnight stays however we were advised that the land owner knows people stay the night and as long as things are kept clean it's fine, so make sure to leave no trace! 4 stars and not 5 as it is quite busy but there is still plenty of space! Good 4g. Friendly man came to collect 2nd days money in the morning

  • 5/5

Easy enough to find, large space that looked like a campsite on a Friday night. Gorgeous pebble beach with clear blue water (like being in Greece). Friendly man came and collected money in the morning - £7.50 in change. Good quiet spot overnight and beautiful views to the lighthouse. There was a cafe that looked busy too but we didn’t use it. No facilities, please keep tidy. Worth paying for.

  • 5/5

Great stop. Incredible views, nice and peaceful. Can stay overnight, daily charge of 7.50 for a campervan think 12.50 for motor home. Fantastic cafe, great selection, open 10am til 9pm. Toilets for customers. Faultless.

  • 2/5

dont go cafe , breakfast was awful, sausages anemic greasy . only do breakfast, burgers or pizza. no sandwiches. nice view and walk. didnt stay the night.

  • 5/5

Got lucky to have am amazing spot looking at the lighthouse! Very few people here being January and highly recommended! Views, nature and an amazing place

  • 4/5

lovely quiet location with fantastic views. no facilities. thought it was Good for an overnight stay. £12.50 but on leaving in morning they tried to charge us another £12.50 as it's a daily charge! rip off!

  • 3/5

slightly over rated! it's a lovely place with a super cafe but apart from that there's not much else there, the views are better before you get to penman point . it's a very bumby , unlevel ground and a little disappointing.

  • 1/5

not sure why the toll... seems a lot of money being taken but certainly not spent on the area as claimed by the Dick Turpin character at the toll booth.

  • 5/5

arrived at 10:30pm and left at 6:45am! no sign of the famous Dick Turpin both ways which is always a bonus haha. just be careful as it gets full fast and we was very lucky to find a place arriving that late! Views are sensational of puffin island and the gorgeous lighthouse!

  • 5/5

We loved this place! £12.50 for motor homes and £7.50 for vans. You pay on entry and then each additional day you stay. It does get very busy, you have to get creative with where you park if you want a decent view. Cafe has Vegan/veggie options. Toilets shut at 9pm and open at 10am so better if you are Self-sufficient. They delivered cocktails to the beach. Vanlife vibes!

  • 5/5

Amazing place to stop over. We was luckily and a van was moving off just as we arrived and I managed to get their space looking out to sea with the lighthouse to our left and Puffin Island straight in front. Just with I’d set up my camera to get time-lapse of the tide as it revealed the rock pools. We managed to walk out to the lighthouse at low tide.

  • 4/5

Fantastic spot overlooking Puffin Island and a lighthouse. Nice cafe but no other facilities. We stayed 2 nights, paid £7.50 on the way in, £7.50 for the next day and £7.50 on the way out. Pleasant cycle to Beaumaris Castle.

  • 4/5

Lovely place. We spend 1 night here paying £12.50 for a motorhome on the way in and £12.50 on the way out next day.

  • 5/5

Love Penmon point. fantastic views, cafe brilliant - if you use them you can use the loo, their dogs are very friendly and adopted our son to play with them, or sat by us (not a bother to us). First nights saw dolphins, second seals. Highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Our favourite place to chill out next to the sea with stunning views and wildlife. Last visit we saw seals, dolphins and a few unexpected skinny dippers .... The owerners of the cafe are very friendly and it's a fantastic quirky place. Always look forward to visiting.

  • 5/5

excellent place, very peaceful in evening cafe spot on I would definitely recommend. Yes you have to pay 7.50 but what a beautiful place.

  • 5/5

Breathtaking sunrise and sunset. Really nice, friendly cafe. Nice guy on toll took £7.50 on arrival and same on exit

  • 4/5

We have a Transit camper so it cost us £7.50 per day, for 2 nights it should’ve cost £22.50 (we crossed the toll the 2nd day to go to Beaumaris) but departed at 6am before he got there so only paid £15 :) No facilities, just a toilet that can be used for cafe customers. 2 very friendly dogs on site however they wouldn’t leave our own dog alone which she doesn’t like so that was annoying.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot next to the beach and lighthouse - to be close to nature. Paid the guy in the hut £7.50 on arrival and again the next day when we left. No problems at all. Plenty of space. No facilities but a lovely little surf style cafe with friendly staff and great food - breakfasts, pizzas, burgers, beers, ice creams etc. Not an owner but the two dogs from the cafe were very friendly

  • 5/5

In a VW Camper I paid £7.50 Toll to leave (April 22) having arrived outside of tollbooth hours the previous night. The location is spectacular for sunsets and being at one with Mother Nature. Dog walk is good though the resident pair of Border Collies do like to engage with visitors though they are friendly.

  • 1/5

Clearly states no campers and no overnight stays on the way up!

  • 5/5

£5 om deze weg op te mogen rijden en opnieuw £5 om er de volgende dag uit te rijden. Hele mooie plek en super pizza’s bij het vriendelijke café.

  • 5/5

Really good spot £5 to get on and £5 to get off if you sleep over witch is really fair for the location there is a cafe that delivers pizza to your van the views are great and water is really clear we even seen a couple of seals swimming up the coast will 100% go again if up that way

  • 4/5

    £20 to stay, no facilities

  • 4/5

Cracking spot. No flat ground for motorhome but good enough, naturally stunning views to go to bed and wake up to. Quite a lot of litter floating around the place which was disappointing to see. Dog owners beware, Cafe owners dogs were free to roam off a lead and we a bit of a nuisance for other dog owners.

  • 5/5

What a great place, breath taking views. campervans pay £5 on entry and and £5 per night. be careful its not level and we grounded our step. cafe serves good food. this place can get very busy, we were told to avoid weekends and school holidays.

  • 5/5

Paid £5 at the gatehouse and told we would need to pay £5 the next morning too. The man collecting gave us advice on where to go if the main area was full. Fabulous views of the lighthouse, Puffin Island and back to the mainland. Uneven ground so choose your spot carefully. Were quite a few others there but plenty space and views for us all.

  • 5/5

Great views and convenient cafe. Stopped here without any issues, also about 6 other vans.

  • 4/5

£5 when you arrive and if you want to stay the night you will have to pay £5 to leave the next day. very nice gatekeepers. Beautiful spot with breath taking views.lots of space to park however the ground is uneven take your levelling ramps, very very busy but we had a peaceful night. There is a cafe open until 9 serving pizza and drinks etc very nice food ! customer toilets only you need a key.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night very quiet parked on grass area levelish pitch cafe on site started doing pizzas till 9 now signs saying no camping but we had no problems would recommend

  • 5/5

Spent a quiet night here on Monday. Arrived late evening, the toll man wasn't there. Four other vans parked when we arrived. Great view of the lighthouse, sea and mainland. Cafe opens at 10am, sausage bap £3.75, ask in Cafe for toilet key. The next morning it became busy with fishermen/women and walkers. We left at around 10:30 the toll man was waiting by the graveyard to collect our £5.

  • 5/5

Stunning views, nice quiet night. As others have described, we paid £5 on the way in and again out the following morning as we left, to the friendly toll keepers who were aware we stayed the night. Amazing views back to Snowdonia on the main land, and sunset out to sea. Woke up with 4 other vans around us and met another nice T5 owner. Lovely stop and good to see everyone keeping it clean and tidy :)

  • 5/5

Turned up here yesterday around 6pm in our t5 lovely guy on the gate charged £5 asked if we were staying the night even before we asked if we were allowed to stay and said it would be another £5 when leaving too (motor homes are £10) it was worth every penny in our opinion lovely walk on pebble beach can walk right out to by lighthouse and amazing views of puffin island, also a lil cafe which serves food. would definitely return again

  • 5/5

Turned up on a Sunday around 4pm. quite a few day trippers here so car park was full.Once the sun started to go down though there was only 4 of us left, drove down closer to the sea front and got a spot overlooking lighthouse would definitely recommend. No problems with overnight parking gate keeper even asked if I was or not to which I replied yes is that okay? No issues whatsoever.

  • 4/5

I'm afraid this is a place which had become victim to its own popularity. Before the new charges were put in place it became too crowded. When I stayed the deafening music, ranting and drunken shouting made me think its days were numbered. Hopefully quieter now.

  • 5/5

We love this place, one of my most favourite places in Wales, stunning views and very quiet, been coming for years, if U get there late enough you don’t have to pay then only pay on the way out, even if you have to pay both ways, it’s worth the £20, you will pay that on a site without sea views

  • 1/5

What a pity fiver a night is sufficient.

  • 1/5

Went here this weekend. Turned around straight away. £10 to take the campervan and no more overnight stays. Ruined a beautiful place for me.

  • 5/5

Great spot for lovely views but it gets very busy, it is now £5:00 for camper vans and £10:00 for motorhomes if you dont leave next morning before toll man arrives on gate you will pay on exit for over night stay

  • 3/5

Certainement un beau site mais pas stuning à mon avis. Payer 9£ pour un terrain en pente ne me paraît pas justifié. Nous avons préféré un petit parking 2 places dans un virage avant la route à péage en bord de route Calme la nuit... Pas de passage

  • 5/5

Brilliant overnight with stunning views. Bacon butty in the cafe is good to.

  • 4/5

Stunning views. water tap by coast guards garage. cafe open 10 - 4 most days.
