Stayed here last year but there is now new signs up saying No Overnight Parking.
Parking également adapté pour camping-car / camping-car. c'est gratuit avec de belles vues. aire de pique-nique à côté avec plusieurs tables. bon point de départ pour la randonnée.
Car park also suitable for motorhome/campervan. it's free with beautiful views. picnic area next to it with several tables. good starting spot for hiking.
Parkplatz auch für Wohnmobile / Wohnmobile geeignet. Es ist kostenlos mit schöner Aussicht. Picknickplatz daneben mit mehreren Tischen. guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern.
Aparcamiento también apto para autocaravana / autocaravana. es gratis con excelentes vistas. Merendero al lado con varias mesas. Buen punto de partida para la caminata.

edwardsfam11/06/2023A nice little over night stay. Arrived late and left early before the cafe opened. Lots of midges, but that’s to be expected. Morrisons and CO-OP just up the road with public toilets. Very basic but ok for a swift stealthy over nighter.

main car park is for the cafe only during opening times but there is no issue staying overnight once the cafe is closed. there are around 13 spaces for a medium sized van along the back of the car park that can be used all day. we used the cafe for a lovely full English breakfast to show appreciation bins on site and the cwmorthin waterfall and lake walk only 10 mins away
stayaway02/01/2023Spent 2 nights here as the cafe was closed over new years. Great place to start hikes from going in multiple directions. Flat and no noise or problems. A lot of people used this place to park for dog walking too. Good 4g (3) There are some small recycling bins and picnic tables.

Lovely quiet stop for the night, and toilets accessible in the Cafe for the price of a coffee or a cheap breakfast in the morning. Lovely walk up the hill to the waterfall and some cool old mining ruins, really interesting. Would stay again!

Perfect spot for one night! Flat surface, cafe guys tolerate the stay. Leave no waste behind and enjoy the short walk up to the waterfall ( 5 Min.) and old mining village ( 15 Min)!

Arrived 9PM. Cafe was closed. Car park was empty. Very quiet night. Waterfall 10min away - walking distance

Nice view, but does seem to be a hangout for locals in cars in the evening. Was peaceful after 10pm. Had breakfast in the caffi which was soo good and reasonably priced! Wouldn’t stay again.

Arrived at 3.45 pm cafe was just closing but very nice lady said it was fine to park in the corner. Three boy racers arrived about 11.30pm beeping horns , racing around loud music , Welsh motor-homer shouted something out of his back door and all three drove off . Lovely quiet sleep . We bought a tasty cooked breakfast each in the morning that set us up for the day .

Great quiet stop. Checked in with cafe owner at Lakeside Cafe who said it was fine to park at the back. beautiful view over the reservoir & mountains and the Blaenau steam engine runs on the track just behind which was an extra novelty!

Good scenic spot for an overnight stop. Car park is shared with the Lakeside Cafe but cafe staff said that overnighting was OK on the back row of parking spaces. Cafe also does breakfasts!
