Nice place to park during the day however several no camping signs.

Stayed here one night 27/06/22. Very peaceful. The following morning a local walked past with his dog. Quite friendly. He told me the man who empties the rubbish bin takes note of overnighters. Not sure how genuine he was. there is a no camping sign @100 metres before this carpark. I doubt it's monitored though. Nice views

Lovely quiet spot, you get the odd car with dog walkers arrive and leave as two 2 mile walks start from the parking area… but apart from that, peaceful, almost flat and good service on 4G with Vodafone and EE.

Very quiet spot with plenty of space. Little exposed so can get a bit blowy but great views. Rubbish bin and picnic table with a nice pub 10 min walk down the road (take a torch). 24hr fuel station in the village. Great stopover.

Very quiet spot with nobody around except dog walkers. It was very windy/rainy when we stayed and it’s fairly exposed to the elements, the van was rocking and not in a good way! The Blacksmith Arms is a short walk away, nice pub serving great pizzas. Apart from a picnic bench and a bin this is the only thing here. 4G on Three was great, we also replaced our LPG at Wilson’s in Barnard Castle

Lovely park up for the evening, quiet. Few walkers but plenty of spaces. No facilities except for a bin. Local pub within walking distance.

Beautifully quiet, nice view, picnic bench, great looking pub with lots of outdoor seating just down the road (Blacksmiths Arms). Nicely tucked away so feels very safe and walks straight from the car park. One friendly dog walker and one other motorhome is all I saw last night. Great spot.

This is a lovely spot with lovely views.

...also, the fulling station in the village sells LPG.

Agree with all the previous comments except the one about the view, we found it to be very nice. Short walk down to the Blacksmiths Arms for food however menu limited to pizza due to Covid restrictions. Made in their own pizza oven and they were delicious. The other pub in the village, the Crown, was closed at the time of our visit, again due to covid. Great stop.

Absolutely stunning spot! Fully level with amazing views and great walk with the dog along the old railway path. 4G signal was solid and everyone friendly. it's 7pm now and just us with two dog walkers so expecting the night to be silent! There is also a small bin and picnic table.
