Lovely quiet spot was joined by several other vans but still had plenty of space as it’s a really large carpark. The footpath along the river was flooded when I was there but otherwise would be just a short walk into the cute town. Only 4 stars due to not having phone or internet signal at all anywhere even in the town! I drove 10 miles before I had signal again so must be a dead area.
super convenient for Rothbury, easily walkable to village center where there are plenty of pubs, shops and few places to eat. when we were there, we were the only motorhomes in the car park. really quiet overnight and no issues at all. stayed for 2 nights - no signs or barriers stopping you parking. would definitely return and would recommend.

No restrictions. Lovely river walk too. As previously mentioned some road noise but is set back off the road and plenty of spaces
no camping or overnight parking. Schild ist bisschen blöd angebracht aber sichtbar beim reinfahren.
The postcode takes you to Pinfold which is a small cul de sac which is difficult to navigate. Instead, follow (brown) signs to Beggars Rigg Picnic Area. Fantastic views, short walk into Rothbury. Big car park area with no restrictions. There are bins, and bottle bank! No other facilities. Some noise from the road, but not enough to disturb. Postcode should be NE65, not NE66. A great find!
Right next to riverside walks and only a short walk into town. Recycling bins, picnic tables and bbq areas. Stayed here a couple of times on separate occasions and was not disturbed.
Only parked here for the day but plenty of room for larger vans to overhang the grass verge behind , no height restriction and a short walk down to the town
Amazing views, good walks along the river, quiet at night, large car park, has bins, close walking distance to town which has a few pubs. Only con, absolutely no signal on three or EE. Plenty of picnic benches with metal plates on for disposable BBQs
Cracking little spot if you like having local amenities not too far away. Nothing fancy view wise but, quiet, clean and tidy parking area with litter bins, picnic/barbecue benches. Ideal if you don’t want to be too far off the beaten track.
Stayed overnight with no issues. Woke to brilliant views of the river and the simonside hills. Ground level ish. Will use again.
Nice, quiet, free car park, 10 mins walk along the river to the village centre where you will find a few pubs and places to eat. We had no hassle what so ever and felt totally safe.
Great carpark, flat and plenty of space. Great views over the golf course and to the hills beyond. lovely Riverside walk into the village with plenty of shops and bars. Very peaceful night, quiet and no bright lights. Picnic tables with metal stands for barbeques down a few steps from the carpark towards the river.
Lovely spot close to the road but it wasn’t that busy when we stayed, there is a recycling point at the top of the car car park but that wasn’t used at night. There’s a 5 in walk along the river into lovely Rothbury with plenty of shops, bars and cafes.
