I loved it here. Very tranquil. Quite some people walking there dogs that are very friendly. You are very visible as in the center of the walking crossroads, so keep it extra neat :) . Leave the place better than you have found it.
Beautiful spot for the night. Lake almost dried out on our visit but still plenty of wildlife and many different routes to walk. Gorgeous views of lake from one point which we nabbed in the morning after someone left! Quiet all night, no highway noise or boy racers. Got beeped at 8am but we were up and had a laugh about it, one numpty won’t tarnish this 5-star spot! Recommend to all.
Lovely little spot for an overnight stay. Bins in the car park and a great 30/45 minute walk around the lake. Even spotted some local free grazing cows in the fields that are super friendly and not fussed about dogs.
Arrived late, however, I would say this park up would be a beautiful spot during the day. The lake looked great with ambient light, I’m sure it would be a stunning view during daylight hours! Only one other car here which I think the guy was fishing ?
Peaceful quiet spot for the night, lovely views across the lake and close enough to Whitchurch for shops etc. Just a few dog walkers in the AM and one other van overnight.
Amazing night here, very secluded and was the only van all night, one or two walkers in the morning but all lovely, beautiful views and walks
A lovely quiet stopover. A 30 minute potter around the lake looking at the ducks is all there is here. A tight squeeze through the trees, I only recommend 3.5t panel vans unless you don't mind picking up scratches!
Lovely scenic area with plenty of wildlife, not a great deal of parking. me and a friend arrived around midday and only just had enough room to park 2 xlwb vans without preventing access for others. Enjoyed the walk, but if was planning to stay overnight, would arriveate and leave early-ish. Very weak signal on 3 network.
Nice little lake to park up for the night. Just some early dog walkers. Bit of a turndown was the amount of noise from the nearby highway.
Arrived in the dark and was a Loverly place to wake up to next to the lake

Small car park , scenic views of the lake we seen ducks . Heron . Woodpecker. also a nice open space of grass through the gates into the wooded area with picnic benches. You can walk round the lake to a degree , as the lake is flooded so you can’t get over the bridge . We got here around 20:00 a couple of cars mainly boy racers , they wasn’t here for long then a hour later another boy racer came with his friends they did get a bit excited and after a while they left. Another couple parked up later on in the night to stop over , So just the 2 vehicles . A quiet nights sleep .
Lots of park up areas nice spot for a stop over. quite whilst we were there only stayed for a rest stop and to make a drink took dog for a short walk a little muddy in places there is a pop up cafe just of the road selling hot snacks, drinks and ice creams
