Sadly No Overnight Camping signs have now been installed (July 2023)

great spot, leveled with picknick areas, a lot of walks near by, very quiet

NB. There's a new sign at the entrance saying that pay machines will be fitted. I expect this will also lead to overnight stops being prevented. Double check as you arrive. It is however, at the moment, a great little stop over with good walks and cycling.

We enjoyed our stopover here. Loads of space, there were only two other vans there when we arrived at 9pm. Quiet until about 7:30am. Some lovely walks from the car park. There’s always a small picnic area with benches off the car park.

Stopped here last night along with 4 other campers. Lots of cars coming and going up until about 8pm and then starting again around 7:30am. Really nice place to stop. No problems, will come back if in the area.

I stopped here last night, I was the only vehicle there so extremely quite. No restrictions no height barrier and pretty level ground. A few cars arrived in the morning mostly walkers and cyclists, would highly recommend part from the poor phone signal but it’s nice to be off grid now and again

Awesome. It was windy last night amd today, but this place is really sheltered so you don't feel the full force. Even the 3 mile walk is sheltered with high walls either side for most of it. Their were temporary public toilets here too and a decent 4G signal.

I had a lovely quiet night hear on my own - just the sound of the wind and rain - all very soothing. I arrived in from the south and you have to pass under a low 11 ft arched bridge. I have a 3m high motor home and I sailed through. lots of VW Van's arrived over the morning with a myriad of cyclists. There is no signage suggesting that you cannot stop overnight. it all felt very safe.

Nice place to park with nice walks nearby. some walkers and bikers arrived in the morning but all seemed friendly and didn't disturb eachother.

Lovely stop for one night with brilliant walks / cycle routes on the doorstep. No facilities.

I agree with most reviews, this is a great picnic place; sketch worthy and the cycle routes to nearby villages are straight and mostly flat. I spent two nights here without trouble, although there are no marked parking areas, so can be a bit random. It's quite popular with campers, but I had one midweek night alone. Note: no bins or amenities.

Nice spot to pitch up overnight. Very quiet with no signs prohibiting overnight parking. Would come again

4g on EE with good signal on roof antenna. Three and O2 are available not not super strong. nice quiet spot. no signs saying overnight camping or parking prohibited. narrow lanes on approach but fine in a Citroen relay. no height barrier. on the cycle trail.

Only parked here for a few hours. Car park busy in the day but based on experience locally with other similar car parks would think this would be nice for an over night.
