Had a fantastic overnight stay. Very little vehicles past 7pm, and parked at the lower larger car park instead of by the visitor center. more secluded, and footpath leads right up to the viewing area. incredible views at night. Gates locked at 9pm, no knock or question why I was there, although was being careful to cover all windows and go stealth perfectly silent and level stay perfect!

Super place for an overnight stop. Footpath into town along the Rope Walk open 24/7. Gates to vehicle entrance locked at 9pm. re open early - cars and dog walkers arrived by 730. Plenty of walks around the nature reserve and along the south bank of the estuary. The Sloop pub at 81 Waterside 5 minutes away over the footbridge does excellent meals - phone ahead. No food Monday or Tuesday.
