some road noise which is to be expected but the signal is very bad here so I had to move on quite late at night as I didn't feel comfortable with no mobile signal

Absolutely as expected. Good lay-by with plenty of room and the little shop a stone's throw away. No litter bin or anything but perfectly fine for a stopover. I had 2 bars of 4g signal on the 3 network. Streamed a movie just fine. Yes road noise, but it's a lay-by, so to be expected. My sort of place to stay the night. Panda.

I stayed here on the fly after the car park I was at down the road filled up with strange people just sitting in their cars. Very busy road, loads of dog walkers, no phone signal (due to proximity to airport). It's ok if you're really in need!

I stayed here last night and as mentioned expect road noise. At the end of the lay-by is a series of walks around the large wooded area and if you have a standard width panel van there are a series of park up areas up a track away from the road. Make sure you double check your vehicle width as the large boulders will NOT move!
hamiltonharman12/06/2021Quiet at night on a Friday no other vehicles, road is busy in the morning. Definitely go to the Ramdown trail just at the east side of the lay-by. One of the best walks with hills, dense forest, flowers, dry heathland and a lake that looks like a mirage! Stunning views and wildlife one of my favourite walks now not even busy on a Saturday afternoon and so much different scenery in just 20-30 minut
curtisg5316/05/2021Great off road level layby, quiet overnight apart from rain dripping from the trees. Airport very near but only one plane took off. Woods adjacent for dog walking.

Great layby, plenty of space, adjacent to forest walk. road noise until 9pm then very quiet overnight. believe there is a pub and shop very nearby.

Stayed on a Thursday night - no one else around and no problems. there was a bit of noise from passing traffic
