Lovely little spot for those that enjoy walking and an amazing view. Signs state campervans and motorhomes welcome to park over night at a charge of £10 however we could not pay as had no signal to call or access the Internet

Lovely quiet and remote spot for the night. Paid online (Selset tariff is under the Balderhead tab on the webpage). Just 2 vans last night. No services, just a small bin. Will come back. Thanks to Northumbria Water for enabling this parkup, and the other 2 in the area.
Lovely quiet spot with gorgeous views. £10 overnight, (I arrived at 3pm and didn’t leave until 9.30 the next morning), there is a tap and the ranger left the toilets unlocked for me. No 3 phone signal, but that’s exactly what I wanted.
stopped over for the night on Saturday and loved it, complete silence and the darkest skies we've seen, £10 for the night & even managed to get 4g signal in the middle of the carpark to pay online. nothing here but that's how we like it, there is the grassholme visitors center just down the road with 24hr toilets but that does get a little more busy at weekends for the observatory events.
nice walk around the reservoir. adjacent the reservoir entrance is a gravel lay-by. I parked my LWB Renault trafic there. no signs saying anything !

Stayed here (Selset reservoir) 31/05/21 in campervan. Was beautiful at night how many stars we could see. No toilets or tap at Selset. This carpark is now shut for the foreseeable due to renovations of the reservoir.
There are three spots here. Selset Resevoir and two on grassholme. I stayed at selset and was the only one there. Very quiet after dark. I was going to use the main one at grassholme visitor centre but there was some sort of social gathering on so I left. Toilets and tap at Grassholme Visitor Centre
A very nice peaceful place to stay , no phone / tv signal but nice walks and views £10 to stay but it’s a website so we had to pay afterwards
Excellent stopover beautiful view park in the car park on second level next to the toilet block for best view. Toilet open 24hrs and there is an outside tap. Highly recommend
Spent a wet and windy night here, very exposed! Lovely quiet spot, shared with two other vans. Very clean. Worth the £10 fee to be away from the roads. Managed to pay online with the patchy 4G (Vodafone). Sheep roaming free, so keep dogs under control.
