Silver street car park next to Glastonbury abbey has no advertised overnight restrictions. We stayed the night with no problems and is very quiet at night. Spaces at the bottom of the car park are big enough for a larger vehicle

Great little spot to explore Glastonbury! The car park was quiet at night and we slept like logs. From 6pm - 9am parking charges don’t apply, but we spent £10 for 24 hours so we could have a mooch about. The car park is right in the centre, meaning we could go walk to the Tor, Chalice Wells and explore the town very easily. Not exactly picturesque, but it’s a car park.

Second time here, this time for 2 nights, Saturday and Sunday. Paid £5.20 on arrival via app and that took us up to Monday morning at 9am! Very quiet, we were only aware of the church bells after we’d woken up. Close to Tor, Chalice Well and in the middle of the High Street. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return soon!

Really lovely park up, stayed this weekend. The spaces are quite small, but we got in a standard parking space, so was fine for us. Easy to pay for parking via the website, we pains £20 from Friday to Sunday. There are no toilets, but St John's carpark toilets are not far to walk to. Right in the centre of Glastonbury, but nice and quiet on the evening. I felt safe and secure.

A good place to park if you want to be in the town of Glastonbury and Tor.Probably be busy during the summer. You pay for parking. 24hrs is £10 & you need change as you can only pay by cash.

Space for 2 larger vans at bottom of the car park parallel to the wall, Slope towards building wall. (TV signal affected) BEWARE GAS BOILER FLUES AS HEAT EXPELLED Very quite night. The bells mentioned in previous comments are very quite clock chimes and barely noticed. Winter charge for 24 hours was £6.40.

good place to stop overnight, slight slope, church bells until 11pm, then again at 6am, otherwise, quiet. 6mts maximum to fit in the parking bay.

love it.in the middle of glasto great for going up the Tor

Great spot, flat, quiet and right in the town centre. Had an evening walk up the tor and 4 hours £2.50 from 9am gave me time for a good wander about the town before moving on.

Arrived last night about 8pm, there was one other camper in the corner, we just squeezed our 6 metre long campervan in the other longer space next to it. Nice quiet night and stayed a few hours the next day to visit the town and climb the Tor.

May 2022 - given 3/5 purely for size of spaces as we have a larger van. luckily there are 2 spaces at the bottom big enough but if they were occupied we couldnt have stayed as fines for being over the spaces. apart from that it is perfect, very quiet, right in the center and paid £10 via app. Loos a few minutes walk at the abbey if you dont have your own facilities.

No good for anything bigger than a vw . You need to fit in the bay or be fined . A larger camper will not fit . This is the case in several parking lots in this area .

love it close to everything used paybyphone cost me £2.50 off to the pub. 8-D

A very restful night and only paid for 4 hours parking at a very reasonable £2.60. Very, very close to the main street but it was very quiet even on a Friday night. Number plate recognition camera on entry and the ticket machine needs your registration number so if you arrive before 6pm it is advised to get a ticket even if its just for 30mins.

Stayed one Saturday night in October. There are 3 long bays which my L3 vauxhall movano could just fit in. But, 2 bays are taken, one vehicle may not be able to open their back doors... If you park outside the lines, there is a potential £100 fine. Still, a quiet night there. Glastonbury is a fascinating place to visit! Nearest toilets, just a few mins walk away behind St John's Church.

Great place, parked up at 6pm for the night, didn't pay. Very quiet just us and another van. payed in the morning and went up the Torr, very close to centre.

  • 4/5

Nice spot, very central. It was busy when we arrived and got quiet at about 7. It cost us £10 to park for the night but we could have been more savvy changed just paid for 5 hours as its free parking after 6. No toilets nearby, however we were undisturbed and it was clean.

Fantastic spot. right downtown glastonbury, under the cathedral. bathrooms nearby. we paid £2.65 for 15 hours.

We stayed a night here on a Monday, just in time for the market on Tuesday which is well worth a visit. We had a quiet night, but we both woke up early so headed up the Tor to see the sunrise! We had a really good read of the signage in the car park and there was no mention of restrictions on overnight parking. The parking meter takes coins or you can use the “pay by phone” app, charges 9am-6pm.

Stayed for one night, friendly locals who 'live there ' advised that signs saying no overnight camping is not enforced but ticketing starts at 9am. very safe and welcoming and ideal for Knights fish and chips who have been frying for 5 generations. We will definitely stay here again but check with the locals that they are not enforcing the no overnight rule.

Stayed for 1 night before heading off to Stonehenge. Quiet car park, no issues at all. Was busy during the day when we arrived, but by 7pm it was almost empty. Cost £7.50 for the night and as it’s right in the centre of Glastonbury, it was perfect for shopping, food and drinks….also had our little dog with us who was welcomed everywhere.

  • 4/5

Very central. but like someone else said, the parking bays are short and if your wheels don't fit in the bays, then there is a risk of £100 fine. there is also CCTV on the carpark. there are 2/3 longer bays against the wall of a house at the bottom end of the car park. just be careful of the gas flue

  • 4/5

Very central, and still very quiet. great spot for a night.

  • 4/5

Although no issues I was concerned about the size of the parking bays. I had problems with a 6.7m van fitting in any of the bays. Even large cars were overhanging. It's a £100 fine if you park outside the white line but no one had checked by mid-day but its a risk to consider.

Spent the night here to visit the Tor, felt really safe and calm. Spent £6 for 24 hours on PayByPhone app, very reasonable. Lovely shops still doing click and collect if you see something you like, and Burn The Bread bakers are great. Go for it! 3/2/2021

We are here tonight on our way to Devon - there is a small police post right next to the car park and there are no concerns at all - fairly even car park if you get the right space - would highly recommend!!! the town is amazing full of beautiful and spiritual shops - stayed here before and will come back again

  • 4/5

Stayed here the night without any problems at all. Very quiet car park tucked just behind the High St you couldn't get much closer! Two other campervans were also here, parking free between 18.00pm - 09.00am.

  • 4/5

Tucked in between the Abbey wall and the backs of High Street premises. At least three other vans there the night I used the spot. Perfectly quiet and no problems. Nearest toilets some distance away, but can’t complain about free town-centre parking.
