King's crossing planches historiques, promenade circulaire à Castlecraig.

Lovely site right on the beach. Views over the Cromarty Firth to the village of Cromarty and surrounded by the new wind farm installations. Nice family owned site, friendly and welcoming. Norman the owner gave us some fresh lettuce from his garden! King’s crossing historic boards, circular walk to Castlecraig. New slipway currently under construction for Nigg Ferry

King's Crossing historische Bretter, Rundweg in Castlecraig.

Outstanding Location access down to the shore. We park up on a windy night, but parked noise into the wind and didn’t move an inch. The experience of the oil rigs and other structures are a must. Highly recommend this stop. Friendly hosts £5 if you don’t need services out of season. The nighttime lights from the North Sea oil refineries structure are well worth the stay. Nice peaceful night.

Schöner kleiner SP. Näher am Wasser geht nicht. Rundwanderweg am Hügel mit schöner Weitsicht.

We love this place. Great views of the cruise ships and we saw dolphins pass by too. fabulous owners, so friendly.

Lovely little site with fabulous views! It is right next to the ferry slipway. Last ferry from Cromarty is at 6pm, managed to get our Transit van on it. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place to park for the night . No advance booking needed - just drive through gate and ring doorbell on white conservatory. A lovely lady will tell you where to park. Water and electric hookup but we only used the water. We have £10 for the night but not sure what the actual price was :) lovely views out to the south east - very quiet all night. Highly recommend!

Lovely place owner very friendly had the QE2 pay a visit

What a lovely spot, overlooking the Cromarty Firth and Cromarty town. As said by others, a lovely owner and a reasonable£7. Apparently EHU is available behind the house, but you would not have the view. No dolphins but we did watch the Queen Elizabeth sail past. Some noise at the moment from the works by the ferry, but not intrusive.

A great spot, don't be put off by the oil rigs. Great views over the bay, even the rigs look pretty at night. Water and chemical dump, all for £7!

Absolutely beautiful location on the Cromarty Firth. Oil rigs and factory to o e side but look to the other side and it has the most beautiful views. Only €7 a night and the owner is a lovely friendly lady who is very welcoming. Had beautiful walks along the beach which was literally 20 yards from our van door. Would definitely go back.

Really lovely place, we've had wonderful weather so decided to stay another night. Very peaceful site, owner even got the Sunday papers for us. The sparkling water, smell of the sea and entertainment of the little ferry to Cromerty. Ignore the oil platforms and turbine building as you drive up as the views at the end of the road are stunning. All for £7 a night.

Lovely place to rest up for a couple of days, right on the beach next to the ferry to the black Isle .nice cycle to Cromarty point didn't see any dolphins but they are there.the owners are a lovely couple and very helpful will stay again

What a view for the night! Great 4G signal with O2 for work. Bargain at £7 for the night with a place to top up water and empty out black waste! Bit wild and windy!

  • 5/5

Just as described above! Large open, slightly uneven patch of ground, right next to beach. Very close to Nigg oil refinery but interesting to see mothballed oil rigs etc. Bizarre mix of rural/lochside/isolation with modern industrial. The oil industry location takes nothing away from this interesting pitch! Well worth £7 for the experience of parking off road with fresh water and waste disposal available.
