Small car park for the Big Burn forest and waterfall walk, beautiful easy walk through a wooded valley with many waterfalls boarded with bridges, lovely place. Parked for night with one other small van. Under trees and dark, road fairly nearby but we had a quiet night, apart from an owl hooting!

Great little stopping place - very peaceful and quiet. All traffic stops after 8/9pm and you can just hear the river and wildlife. 2 dog friendly pubs within walking distance and a nice little walk up to the waterfall and skating lake - would recommend as a nights stopover.

Has bins, nice walks around, peaceful nights sleep

Very nice spot, the walk to the falls is beautiful. We woke in high winds to find bits of tree landing on the van, so had to move across to a less sheltered spot! Other than that, a nice spot to stay. Do not use the postcode, it takes you up a street, use the co-ordinates. The entrance is along a narrow track beside the main road.

Lovely little stop, nice walk to the falls and stream to listen to while relaxing. Felt very safe and didn’t really notice the road noise when in the van.

  • 4/5

Quiet at night, there’s a running stream underneath the bridge so it helps drown out road noise from the bridge. It gets very busy in the morning with walkers and visitors to the waterfall as it’s not that big of a car park. Nice walk to waterfall with the dog. Recommend but for small campers and vans for how busy it can get unless you really get tucked away in a corner.

An absolutely brilliant spot to park. Pub nearby, the car park is tucked out of the way and very sheltered by trees which is handy for cooking outside

Beautiful place! Nice walk too waterfalls. We were alone nobody bothered us. High recommended!

Great spot for a walk and overnight stop. We asked a local volunteer if we could stay the night and he was super friendly. It's a lovely little town.

Great spot for an overnite stop, perfect for the Big Burn Walk and Dunrobin Castle is just along the road. I had a lovely meal in the Golspie Inn and was the only one in the parking area, had a quiet nites sleep.

Stayed here on 28.06.22 A nice wee spot off the road. Okay for one night. A bit of noise from stonemasons during the day and a popular dog walking car park but nice and quiet at night. Lovely walk right from car park with dogs to a lovely waterfall. Golspie a lovely town with good facilities.

12/05/22 - Small car park at the start of a beautiful walk. There’s probably about 10 spaces. We were the only ones staying overnight. Quiet evening flat spots. No signal, bins on the car park.

very quiet no early morning dog walkers. close pub to grab food and toilet that allow dogs in

  • 5/5

Brilliant wee spot, it’s the small driveway to the side of the stone masons then you’re there! Easy to get to and a very peaceful nights sleep, right beside a waterfall too which is beautiful.

  • 5/5

WOW, what a find, lovely & quiet, just us here, fabulous walk through the forest, locals really nice too, unfortunately we couldn't get into the pub for a meal as they were fully booked but it looks really nice, will try on the way back

We stayed here last night, was a really good spot with a pub nearby which serves food. Went for a lovely walk in the morning to the big burn falls which were well worth it. We had a peaceful night sleep with only the owl hooting.

  • 5/5

Nice little spot, easy access to the waterfall trail. Sadly no O2 signal, but was waiting for a Internet call. So only used in the day time, but would have happily stayed the night.

Lovely place to parkup… great sleep… wonderful to hear the owl :)… great walk to the waterfall x

Stayed in this beautiful natural location last night (3 MH in total ) -very peaceful- you could easily miss it mind as it’s not well signposted and is actually not no. 3 . We had to do a sharp right in front of the Stonemasons then go down a short potholed, slightly narrow road to the spot- it’s a wonderful place to visit and there’s a super trail to walk and nice friendly pub a stones throw away!

  • 5/5

Absolutely beautiful wee car park with table and chairs next to the burn. Stayed overnight. Alone in car park which I was slightly worried about but needn’t have been. Occasional traffic noise but otherwise very peaceful.

  • 5/5

We had good night sleep here. flat ground which is always a bonus. bin provided. Next to hidden jem waterfall walk, absolutely stunning (big burns walk).

  • 3/5

Great spot for day time and fantastic walk but at night a lot of noise from the main road.

  • 3/5

Couldn’t access this site . i’m a 7.5t heavy weight and it was a very small narrow access road good for small vans or cars but not larger vehicles

  • 5/5

Really great place to spend the night, quiet and safe. River nearby to help washing up etc.

  • 4/5

Lovely little spot, besides from being quite close to the road, felt very secluded. (Fairly busy road, cars and trucks going by from about 7am - 9pm). No facilities, only a small bin for “litter and dog waste”. One other camper with us, 10 min walk into the main town with a pub and co op. Stunning walk from the car park to the falls.
