Vue imprenable sur la plage. Tight pour moho mais nous avons réussi un van de 6 mètres. Parfait pour un court séjour. Je n'ai pas passé la nuit. Entrez dans Port Ellen.

Stunning view above the beach. Tight for moho but we managed 6 metre van. Perfect for short stay. Didn't stay overnight. Walk into Port Ellen.

Atemberaubende Aussicht über den Strand. Eng für Moho, aber wir haben einen 6-Meter-Van geschafft. Perfekt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Ich bin nicht über Nacht geblieben. Gehen Sie in Port Ellen.

(Mid June) Easy to get up onto the top in our 8 mtr moho but it has been dry. Great spot with great walks, views, kayaking & swimming in the bay. Took a walk over to "Singing Sands" for a swim and a bike ride to the RSPB Nature Reserve at the Mull of Oa both superb. Islay is superb for wild camping as most people seem to prefer the toilets in Port Ellen or the site at Port Charlotte!!

I was a bit apprehensive as on the os map this looks like a farmers field, however entry is by a gateway with a broken rusted iron gate that doesn’t look like it’s been shut for many years. We were on our own and found it very peaceful. The ground is firm although mostly grass . Saw a few dog walkers so it’s obviously used as common land by the locals. Very handy location.

good spot over the beach. you need to take a left turn from the main road onto a short gravel path and then onto the grass directly above the water. quiet and great view

Beautiful spot next to the beach, views of Port Ellen, the lighthouse and the CalMac ferry that passes from Kennacraig to Port Ellen. Stargazing at night. More secluded from the wind then Kinloch Indaal. Many bunnies to spot as well :)

Room for 6 vans. Had no trouble getting our LWB sprinter down. Short walk into Port Ellen and great walking off to the light house and beyond. Didn't manage to get the kayaks in the water because of the strong winds shame as it looks awesome.

Beautiful views, can get very windy when the wind is on shore. Plenty of space for a couple of vans.

One of the best places we’ve parked up and stayed on for the night. Beautiful beach , perfect for swimming and lovely dog walks either side either to the lighthouse or the woods. Leave no trace and keep this place beautiful.

Very quiet, just the sound of the surf. Shared with 2 other camper vans and a tent. No facilities. Topped up our water carrier at the overnight stop in Port Ellen behind the petrol station (having asked).

Brilliant stop at Kilnaughton Bay behind the dunes. Room for multiple campers with enough space, road slightly rough. Just after signs for Kintra Farm, round the bend. We did the 3 distillery walk from here, Port Ellen a short walk away. Swimming in the bay. Excellent place to base yourself. Used services in Port Ellen next day to empty loo and fill up water etc.
