I’ve stayed here twice now and felt very safe. Other campers come and go too. Lovely to be so close to the sea for a stroll in evening or the following morning. There are toilets if you need them within walking distance. Well done Brighton & Hove for welcoming vans!

On street parking is either side of King Alfred’s, which has a toilet on the Brighton side. We parked up on the Hove side. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves on the pebble beach and a beautiful view of the beach in the morning. Only regret is not stopping there for our other two nights. Mind you with lots of places to park up after 8 pm, Brighton was an easy stay!

Parking is on the road outside this car park. And it was a great park up! Other campers there, free after 8pm on the sea front. On a dog free section of the beach and toilets near by

On peut prendre une douche au centre de loisirs « king Alfred »pour 3£25 à côté du parking, le parking pour 3h coûte 4£60 et le van de 2m est passé

Great place to stop in winter (I imagine it will be busy in summer). Free 8pm til 9am. £1.40 per hour at other times and only 4 hours in 24 allowed. Enforcement in winter seems lax. There was one van parked there permanently it seems over the last few days. Can be busy with cars before sunset. This is on the street IN FRONT of the car park which is hieght restricted.

dreadful place expensive extremely noisy lots of traffic. just do not go here.

  • 4/5

Very level carpark, perfect for microcampers or minivans but quite a small height restriction, I saw a few bigger vans parked up along the road just outside the carpark. A little bit windy and some noise from people walking past but nothing that bothered me! So close to the beach- really handy free parking.

Great location, we rented bikes just in front of the car park to get into town which made it about a 15min journey (spent about 60p one way). You can also pay to use the hot showers in the leisure centre next door, about £2.70 for a shower.

This is a good park up in Brighton. It can be a little windy however it is right by the sea and views are great. The car park is height restricted but you can park on the road just outside which has the better views anyway. The parking sign says payment required between 9 am- 8pm max 4 hours however we didn’t see a parking attendant although we paid. Co op near by about 5 min walking distance.

HEIGHT restricted. Caravan cannot spend the night in the lot. Maybe on the street.

Peaceful and on the beach (little noise from the road but didn't find this too disruptive) shower/tap real close, 40 minute walk into Brighton, took 15 minutes on my skateboard so a set of wheels is a good option. little bit of a nuisance having to wait until 8 for the car park to be free but we just parked at the top of Brighton in other areas on the app and moved down later to sleep.

Popular overnight stay free from 8pm, quite busy with late night beach users and SUP paddlers. Short walk to cold water shower and toilets on beach ! Disabled bays big enough for big motor homes. Quite a little community. Popular . Enjoy meeting the party animals from Brighton stumbling home over breakfast !

Great spot near the beach but the road is so busy and noisy. The traffic is very fast and even though there was less during the night, it was still noisy. Would only use again if we were desperate!

Now able to park for 11 hours max during the day. So you can stay 24 hours by paying for the day first thing in morning.

  • 4/5

Decent location, close to everything you need, slept fine... 4 out 5!

Third day living off grid. This place is quiet once the last beach goers leave by 9pm. Great to wake up to crashing waves. By 7 its crowded with early risers exercising. We headed for Devil's Dyke for peace and quiet. Would return to Hove beach. Not alot of spaces to park though I arrived there at 7:30pm.

Fabulous little spot to camp overnight near the King Alfred Centre - parking charges start at 9am to a max of 4 hours

  • 5/5

Best place to park in Brighton/Hove If you like the sound of waves to sleep to. Free parking from 8 pm till 9am but unlikely to need to pay from 6pm. Fresh water tap is a 5min walk west (In summer months)

Beperkte parkeertijd overdag! Gratis vanaf 21u. Opletten als je naast het bushokje/beschutting gaat staan. De overhang komt zeer ver door. Wij hebben onze luifel beschadigd door ertegen te rijden.

Stayed in a campervan in the row along the beach. Very windy but fine. Other motorhomes there. No fee from 9pm overnight. No toilets after 5/6pm.

Not a good place to stay

Parking close to the beach. Some random Dude wants us to pay 10£ so we moved on.
