Leider gibt es inzwischen eine Schranke. Wir sind weitergefahren und haben einen ruhigen Parkplatz in Mykines für die Nacht gefunden.

Stationnement sur le site d'excavation! Nous avons demandé au personnel du musée si nous pouvions passer la nuit, pas de problème! Tout le personnel était très sympathique.
Parking lot at the excavation site! We asked the museum staff if we could stay the night, no problem! All of the staff were very friendly.
Parkplatz bei der Ausgrabungsstätte! Wir haben beim Museumspersonal nachgefragt, ob wir übernachten dürfen, kein Problem! Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

1 night at top of car park. No problems other than the usual dog chorus at night. Friendly dog on site, lame in 1 leg. Take some food please. Excellent historical site and well laid out museum, 3 euros out of season. After, short drive or walk to the Olympic site. (Same ticket). A bit disappointed, but to see the tunnel and learn the history of it-amazing. Level and shaded. Recommend.

The same as said here earlier- not allowed to spend a night, but they recommended to park at the tavern. So we did - friendly old couple, for a dinner fantastic souvlaki and saganaki, we do recommend.

Wir sind sehr freundlich aber genauso bestimmt darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden, dass aus Sicherheitsgründen eine Übernachtung auf dem Parkplatz nicht mehr möglich ist. als Alternative bietet sich der große Parkplatz schräg gegenüber neben der Taverne an.
