Town is stunning with lots of roman sites to see. Parking is as described in other reviews, boy racers until about midnight, hanging out right next to another van, lots of beeping and music until about midnight, but never bothered us. Had a peaceful night sleep.

I will never understand the British proclivity for visiting random car parks in the night, reving engines and playing bad music at high volume. But I’ve yet to find a park spot on this app in the UK that does not have this problem. I really don’t get it. They drive in at Mach ten, sit there for 20min then drive off. A continuous stream of them until about 11:30pm. It almost seems co ordinated.

good car park close to town centre toilets no longer open. we spent 3 night here Tues to Thurs no issues. locals very friendly offering advice where to park etc. few locals in cars in evening but nothing intrusive and had 3 good night's sleep.

  • 2/5

A school nearby. Young teenagers gathered here at 10pm,11pm, loud music, laughing and yelling. Even 2.30am, car racing. We stayed at a Tuesday night and hardly had a sleep. If you just want to stay few hours and visit the local historic places in the day, it’s fine and free.

Arrived here late afternoon and decided to take a risk and stay the night, after reading some of the reviews about boy racers and noise!, however we had a very peaceful evening and night. There was 1 car with a couple of youths, just chilling out and being youths. They were quiet and never bothered us. Maybe we were lucky due to it being -2 C.. Say hi to my drone if you see it!..LOL!...

Stopped for a few hours to visit town. Great spot. Did not stay the night.

arrived Saturday morning at about 10 am and I just managed to find a space for my transit jumbo nice place good pubs and food a lot to see and walk very very busy during the day but after 9pm very quiet lovely weekend away

  • 3/5

Boy and girl racers so bring noise cancelling headphones, just watched three rounds of steal my friends shoe. Still deciding if I will stay for the night.

  • 5/5

Didn't stay over night. However we parked here and used the toilets. Parking was free, no sign saying you couldn't stay over night. We headed into the town and checked out the roman museum and the amphitheatre for free, looked round some art and gift shops.

Same lads and cars. One rapped on window which I ignored. I worried myself that they would fire one of their fireworks at van, but they didn’t. 6 or 7 cars and 10+ lads so a bit daunting for a single female camper. They had mainly gone by midnight but there were 2 back at 2.30am! Don’t expect much sleep before midnight if you worry lol

  • 4/5

I stayed here for 3 nights, very quiet after the boy racers went home around midnight. they didn't bother me, they are only kids chatting parked up, no problem x

  • 2/5

Not a very nice location, people knocking on the van in the middle of the night, not a good night's sleep

  • 4/5

Arrived around 6pm, car park full as there were kids football matches going on! Waited till it cleared out and got a great spot, big car park with lots of coach bays. Great park for dog walking and next to an ampitheatre, pubs close by. teenagers hanging around in the evening and some cars going by, but they were gone by midnight and they didn't bother us. Great spot

We arrived after 11 pm to a group of teenagers. Which we pre warned about, Thank-you. Parked against the hedge. They didn’t bother us at all, we walked our dogs, settled down and the noise was minimal. Early rise around 7 to lots of dog walkers again no one worried about us. Fabulous spot to explore Roman times and enjoy the town.

Lots of young people hanging around drinking and paying too much attention to our van. We moved on.

  • 3/5

Popular place for teenagers but all quiet after midnight. I parked by the hedge behind rugby club to be more secluded and quiet. Toilets close at 5 pm.

  • 1/5

Full of teenagers playing loud music all night. I had to call the police for some kicking a ball off my van

  • 3/5

  • 1/5

I used to live in this town if the teenagers are troublesome and rude call the police. Such a shame as Caerleon is a great stop with free Roman ruins and museum. Coffee shops and local crafts and pubs and restaurants.

  • 2/5

Avoid... do not stay here.... youths drinking, revving cars, knocking on the van. From 11pm til 2am. Very frightening for me. Luckily my son (8) slept through.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

    Toilets now permanently closed.

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

Stayed there last night - there were some lads in cars but they were gone by 10pm and didnt cause any bother. It was a Monday night tho not a weekend! Lovely town to walk around. Toilets still locked at 9am next morning tho.

  • 4/5

    Un peu bruyant mais ok

  • 3/5

    Very quiet place

  • 1/5

Used this a couple of weeks ago, from 10pm we were given a terrible time, youngsters calling us pikeys and revving cars up until well past midnight, gave up in the end and moved on, my wife felt very frightened. Just a heads up folks

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Excellent stop ruins were well worth seeing. Plenty of parking spaces. Can use bus bays out of normal hrs and weekends

  • 3/5

Only problem was the boy racers until 22h, after then all ok. toilets opened at 8am by road sweeper. School coaches arrive at 8.15am until 8.45am **** Les cars scolaires arrivent de 08h15 à 08h45.
