Tried to stay here, and what do you know, moved on again. I think the locals here have it in for visitors. Woken up at 1.30am

i do hope someone can help Silk Road they seem to be having a terrible run of slashed tyres, dented van, spray painted graffitti and generally being hounded off places. i was at this place three days ago. it was very good. except for not the best phone service.

I got my tyres slashed during the night!! I reported it to the police and they said that locals don't welcome overnight vehicles around here. I wish someone told me before!

Lovely spot - as mentioned below, there are several car parks you can use. We slept a peaceful night with no other vans or vehicles around. Also some great walks in this beautiful area so it’s worth making time for that. There can be some challenges getting in and out as the roads are so narrow, so you need to be a skilled and confident driver - we were practically touching the Royal Mail vehicle that we had to pass on one such section.

There are 3 car parks along this road. I prefer Car Park 12. More level and quieter as you can only fit 5-7 cars. The roads are narrow with a section of single lane. Get there very early or at dusk which is what I did. Barhatch Road to car parks is what I will use to go in/out of that area. I smashed my van enough ?

Great spot in a beautiful area, drive through the most pretty village I've ever seen! It's very remote and dark, my kids called it murder forest lol. Then I "thought" I had someone outside my van in the night, didn't sleep well but its my 1st ever night vanlifing so a bit of paranoia is expected. Carpark a little uneven and it's a little hard to find at night

Lovely spot, no height barriers, other parking lots around the same area, dog walkers will wake you up early, Internet connection not great! Some narrow roads to get there.

Great spot, quiet and undisturbed. Great mountain bike trails everywhere, literally some starting less than 30 feet from the van!

Quiet location. Plenty of trees, dog walkers and mountains bikes. Narrow roads and tight fit for campervans but great to get away from the city. Stayed in car park 12 for 2 nights - probably the last car park.

We stayed there for the night. Really quite
