No facilities. Spent quiet night right at the end of the road. To begin with we stopped further back but moved when we realised how many cars come along - dog walkers and bird watchers. Would return here. We were a little put off when we saw the private road sign when we first got to the start of the road.

we loved this stop great beach cafe views

  • 1/5

This is a terrible post industrial location with far too many vans, often running generators. If you are used to better things, perhaps the sites in France or Spain, then give this one a wide berth.

  • 4/5

Very busy with park4night Motorhomes and fisherman and families for the sun sea and sand no facilities, but I would return again

  • 2/5

This used to be a lovely stop but this has been taken over by travellers and the place is a dump. 52 Vans there when we arrived with rubbish everywhere. We talked to the local fisherman and they have reported items been stolen and human waste been dumped on the local dunes. We stopped 1 night and left asap in the morning as dogs roamed around and generally didn't feel safe. Tees Port Authority need to sort this lovely location out as its been spoilt for the genuine people who care about the area

  • 5/5

A great place to wild camp and enjoy the views, ships/boats/wind farm and people watching. Good for fishing, when tide is right and the sprats are in. A very long and clean beach to walk along, though sometimes you may encounter one or two nudists on the beach or in the sea having a dip, though mostly they frequent the sand dunes. If you like basic, this is the place.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

We haven’t stayed here yet but live in the area we will definitely be coming to stay for a few night it’s lovely walking doing there and seeing all the campers Motorhome nice walk along the beach

  • 5/5

WOW! what an amazing place to stay. we really don't want to leave. every couple of hours there are massive cargo ships passing through. we could sit here all day watching them. Always plenty of other campers here so feels a safe place to stay. Police patrol around 9pm at night and again around 6am.

  • 5/5

Excellent park-up, there's everyone from mega money motorhome to DIY vans all together and having a great time. Lovely beach, nice people around and fun to watch the boats go in and out the harbour. Police come just to make sure everyone is alright. Perfect really.

  • 5/5

Single woman traveller. Felt very safe, lots of other vans around but plenty of space for everyone. Excellent spots for watching the sea and ships and also the sunrise & sunset. Put in the postcode and ignore any of the private road signs!

  • 5/5

Stayed for two nights over the weekend, was lovely! People all friendly and just a lovely place to chill. Take your rubbish home and respect others and this is one of the best parkups around.

  • 4/5

Cracking place to sit and mind your own business, or socialise with others. Great views and walks. No services so come prepared and self-contained. Loads of spaces to park on both sides of road. Cafe at boat yard Sat/Suns 9-2. We've just had 3 nights here and slept so peacefully.

  • 5/5

love this place nice and quiet and great people

  • 5/5

Really enjoyed staying here, beautiful views either side like having your own private beach

  • 5/5

Pics don’t do it justice, flat parking all the way along, Sandy beach, with easy access. Can watch the boats on one side and the wind turbines on the other. It’s windy, but beautiful stop. Great 4G on EE. Plenty of other vanners here too.

  • 5/5

What a cracking place - staying two nights but might stay a third. Loads here but no mither or mess - Deff coming back

  • 5/5

really good spot for parking up. it felt quite nice because other campervans and motorhomes were there. it's not what I would call picture postcard but it's quite nice in its own way. but I try to look for the beauty in everything.

  • 5/5

Good free park up. Great views from all sides.Lovely beach to walk along. lots of motor homes & campers.Don't be afraid of not getting a spot because you will somewhere along the side of the rd. Note ☆ when entering the Rd it says no entry private land.Don't turn back, continue right to the end. It is policed at night & security drives up & down too.Have fun !

  • 5/5

    Am parked up here tonight

  • 5/5

A great spot to stop overnight, though it seems that some stay longer. Lots of MH and Campers with the same idea. Great views out over the estuary and interesting to watch the comings and goings of the ships in and out of the port, especially if you have a suitable app on your phone to track and great opportunities for photography.

  • 5/5

Good safe spot. Lots of like minded of grid motohomes and vans.

  • 5/5

great spot. very quiet and we seen dolphins and seals. It is a road but a dead end road which means there is little traffic. it is through an industrial working port but views on other side is beach and windfarm.

  • 5/5

Great park up for the night, brilliant views of sea either side. Not the best part of the beach but can’t complain for a free park up. Plenty of other campers, so feels safe. There was a police presence on a few occasions during the night but no one spoken to, more of a check. Very peaceful

  • 5/5

brilliant find. loads of places for vans all free no restrictions. keep going past 20 unauthorized sign. it all opens up. great views. definitely recommend

  • 1/5

i don't understand the good comments about this place...for me only a horrible spot.....ugly place, ugly beach..

  • 5/5

beautiful spot very busy amazing views the road in has a sign private road no unauthorised vehicles but no one bothers .

  • 5/5

Absolutely perfect spot for campervans and motorhomes! Beautiful scenery on both sides of the road. Easily accessible steps down to the huge, beautiful beach. It feels a bit strange driving down the road initially, but keep going, the views are fabulous when you get to the end! Lot's of friendly dog walkers and horse riders on the beach too! Very quiet at night, I will definitely be coming back!

  • 5/5

awesome place to stop beautiful views and awesome beaches well be back

  • 5/5

Great free park up just a short drive from Redcar seafront (which has had some investment since last visit). Park with the sea either side and fantastic views of the coast line and it’s industry. Quiet, undisturbed night. Lots of fellow ‘vanners’ sharing the space. Can be quite windy but…. It’s the coast.

  • 4/5

Good spot at the end of an industrial road. seems popular with campers. We stayed in January and had no issues. Nice view as the sun sets over the Tees Estury

  • 5/5

Fantastic park up with spectacular views. Loads of parking at the road side and quiet at night. Go to sleep with the lights of the industry on one side and wake up to a fantastic sunrise on the other. Surrounded by the sea and nature. No facilities so come prepared!

  • 5/5

Drove there in the dark and in the morning we were surrounded on three sides by water. Great place to walk amongst wild dunes and shore. Golden sand beaches would have been lovely to walk on if only the temperature wasn’t -2 degC! We will certainly return in the summer.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place to stay once you have got by the industrial area. The road seams never ending but worth it once you get there. We parked by the pilot boat station. We arrived in the dark and and wasn't sure of the inviroment but when we woke , what a joy! Well worth a stay over.

  • 5/5

Stayed here 2 nights, lovely park up. Felt safe here, other Van's and motorhomes but plenty of space if you like distance between others. No bins or toilet so please take your litter with you and help keep this place viable.

  • 5/5

Regular visitor. Love just watching the world go by, never seen any hassle. Level parking & always other vans there....

  • 5/5

Stayed here on a Saturday night in a 6m camper. Counted 42 vans. Room for 45 comfortably and over 55 if you’re prepared to park further down the road from the point. Most had fires lit enjoying the weather. Except for the departure / arrival of the odd van, it was very peaceful. Lovely moonlit sky, twinkling lights from industry and wind turbines. Great for dog walking and brilliant for fishing.

  • 5/5

Great quiet place lots of shipping activity and lively views. Recommend

  • 5/5

Great spot free overnight stay Very quiet I’m

  • 5/5

We love coming here. Nice and quiet. Today the sea was so still. People out kayaking and in the sea fishing. Lovely view along the coast on a clear night.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot! Site is big enough for 40 ish Vans. Sunrise and sunset are magical from this peninsula :) Sandy beach about 3 minutes walk.

  • 5/5

Was a beautiful summers evening until another decided to make a bonfire and smoke the place out so had to sit inside with windows and doors shut

  • 4/5

Very popular place with dog walkers ,twitchers and folks watching the ships/tankers coming into Teesport estuary, fantastic sea views and the wind turbines are picturesque when lit up on a night. At least 10 MH when we stayed and a peaceful night's sleep from midnight till 8am .Police patrol this area on a regular basis which is reassuring

  • 4/5

Excellent stop over. A dog walkers paradise. A few other campers here some seem to be regulars very peaceful and relaxing could do too nights here in good weather. Definitely come again

  • 5/5

Lovely and peaceful for a night stopover. A few other vans around but everyone very respectful. Police checked a couple of times so felt safe.

  • 4/5

Great stop over, great to watch sunset & sunrise .... great for bird watching and also spotted two seals. Quiet night after 11pm, once boy racers move on, nothing to worry about. ?

  • 4/5

Only stopped there one night. Quiet and no issues.

  • 5/5

Had a lovely overnight stop here. Other campers here. No issues.

  • 1/5

Not a pleasant place to stop. Had van window smashed. Avoid

  • 2/5

Lots of space for campers, but no facilities. Cafe attached to the boat yard. Great for walking into Redcar. Good views of the estuary

  • 2/5

Superbe endroit si vous êtes un observateur d'oiseaux. // Great place if you are a bird watcher
