Ten vans here last night playing loud music and emptying buckets down the drains most parked on double yellows outside of the parking bay. It’s always the few so I doubt whether this will be allowed next year

We stayed on Saturday night 30 9 2023 . It’s a great place. There’s food, views of the sea . What more could you ask for. Thank you Swanage.

There was no space here when we arrived. However, the car park just up the road allows you to pay for the night. It does say no sleeping, but if you are respectful and don't 'camp' and just sleep, I don't see the problem. We had no problems. We arrived at 6:45 pm and left at 7:30 am. paid £1.50. Used the hideaway cafe for a cup of tea and to use the toilet.

Nice spot for tbe night after 8 no parking attendance which is good

Beautiful spot to wake up to the sunrise and sleep to the sound of waves. Would only spend the night from late Saturday till early morning on Sunday as it's a busy place where people do water sports. No problems sleeping there through the night though.

Been here a couple times now, perfectly fine, obviously busy area but fine for a stop over and public toilets down the path

Only option in this area-very much in full view of reetaurant & on main promenade. Local council clearly hostile towards campers given other signage. Waited a few hours to get a space. 3 other vans stayed. (max available spaces due to faded double yellow lines & taxi rank). No issues other than usual noise of being in a more urban area. Nice benches for eating breakfast on promenade. No issues.

I found a free space with no problem, then had some time to visit food shops. Nothing woke me up, though I know the streetlights stayed on for a while, but I was just very tired. It was a very pretty view in the morning, I was up anyway but I can see the noise of fishermen getting ready could be a bother. The nearby public loos were closed and the next nearest ones were a bit of a walk a way.

We did a Friday night, not an issue close to pubs and food, it’s high street so is busy but quite once pub close, public toilets also close.

Not a spot for a sunny Friday in August. Far too busy and a lot of noise

  • 4/5

Great location. Was busy with cars coming and going but we managed to hang around and get a spot at 6pm. Amazing sunset. Woke up to rowdy people leaving the pub (Friday night). Parked till 6pm- 9am with no problems.

Pretty good parkup, a little noisy with pub right next to it (esp on a Friday night). But overall very nice place.

Great little spot directly opposite the pier bar …We arrived 5pm only a few spots left …. 3 loo blocks all within 5 mins … new flats being built next to pier bar so think maybe parking will change sooner rather than later

We came at 6 pm on Saturday and it was really busy. Parked elsewhere for a few hours and came back at 10 pm and there was a few spaces left. They got filled quickly by cars but they left after a while. We were on our own here & no problems. Lovely to be right by the water in the morning with our paddleboard :)

  • 4/5

Quiet lovely space, but seems like a popular one judging by the amount of disappointment campers driving past looking for a spot. Dog walkers about from 7am.

  • 5/5

Great spot arrived just after 6.00 when restriction ends one other camper here plus a few cars and it’s full. Right in centre so off fir a beer and a curry

  • 5/5

Great spot just outside the Pier bar. The only noise is that of the waves. We had 3 Ducato camper vans (incl ours) and one car and that was it pretty much full. Got here at 2145 hrs at the end of April and just the one spot left for us. There is a park just across the road to walk the dog.

Comme indiqué sur les photos, pas de panneaux interdisant le stationnant pour la nuit. Nous avons trouvé un autre camping-car quand nous sommes arrivés. Aucun problème durant la nuit. Super vue sur un beau lever de soleil au petit matin.

Stayed here in a campervan.14/10/20. Arrived very late, parked up and slept to the sound of the sea less than 10ft away! Awoken by lights and noise at 6.45am by the guys re-laying the double yellow lines in front of the van! They joked that they were going to put two yellow stripes right over the top of the van! Apart from that no one bothered me. Nice spot.
