Part of the Forestry and Land Scotland Stay the Night trial 2022. Quiet parking next to a forest, there aren't any houses or big streets around. walking paths through the forest next to you. Definitely great with dogs. In the morning in summer quite a few people park here to take walks but everyone was really friendly.

Super Platz! Mülleimer und Sitzgruppen vorhanden und das Übernachten wird ausdrücklich erlaubt. Es war in der Nacht sehr still! Neben uns waren noch 5 weitere Camper vor Ort. Lediglich am Abend hat eine Britin gestört, die in ihrem Auto saß und am Handy spiele und die ganze Zeit über den Motor laufen ließ … Das haben wir hier übrigens schon mehrfach erlebt.

Nice spot. Busy in the day and some local youth in cars at around 11pm who turned up and immediately threw their rubbish out the window. No excuse but there isn’t a bin here. Also evidence of MH’s emptying their grey water on the ground. Please don’t do this! Spectacular views from Dumyat hill, an hours walk from the car park.

Agreed! Had a lovely walk here as well as very peaceful, wood full of birdsong. If only more of the Forestry Commissions would allow this. Thank you.

Stayed the night on 14.05.2022. Great drive up to the car park, very scenic. Plenty of space, overnight there was only 5 other motor homes there. Good walking trail, beautiful views, picnic tables and bin. Part of the stay the night initiative from forestry Scotland so completely free. Really good :)

Stayed here 23/10/21 peaceful and it was nice to hear a Tawny owl and see bats flying around. a good night sleep was had.

Great spot, as others have said. very steep incline and one serious hairpin bend on the road if you approach from the Hillsfoot Road side so better to come from the A9 if you're concerned or a bigger vehicle

Nice woodland parking spot. Peaceful with beautiful views. Few benches with metal plates to have the stove on.

Part of the Stay the Night Forestry commision scheme. A good night's sleep. 5 vans on a Saturday night. A nice circular 1/4 mile walk through woods for stretching dogs legs. No real view from area but secluded and private. Dropped a star as car park had people coming and going til late. Think it might be a local dogging spot.

Nice area to stay the night. It is part of Scotlands National Trust Campervan scheme where you can stay the night if in a self contained van. Check out their website. There were three other campervan/ motor homes here. No issues. reasonably busy with dog walkers until 11pm. A few walks also and a nice view. I would stay again.

Great spot in an airy but secluded forest car park. Steep narrow access road but plenty of space at top. Pretty busy with walkers but no issues.

Great spot. Forestry trial allowing overnight stays. Quiet, with a couple of other vans and a few dog walkers. Windy road but manageable unless in a very large van.

Great spot, lovely view. Steep twisty hill to access but no issues. 4 other campers there with us but very quiet area. There is a sign saying motorhomes and camper and with their own toilet are welcome to stay one night.

This a great place for a nights stay over on your way up to the Highlands and good access to Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument. It is a large area for vans and campers (albeit trickier for the larger ones) the road leading to it is twisty and I personally would take anything bigger than a van up for just for ease of navigating it. Frequent by dog walkers all morning and most of the day but all friendly with no issue. One thing we experienced was cars coming and going until midnight, think it is a local hook up area so be aware it isn’t the quietest but we had no issue and left in the morning.

Good overnight spot despite narrow, twisty access lanes. Views and walks from car park. However, we were there during weekend and despite the current rules regarding covid-19 in Scotland’s central belt, there were numerous cars pulling in for most of the evening and early morning.......

Road was tight for large Motorhome but worth it, very quiet lovely with views 3 campers all night, great spot for Wallace Monument and the Castle.

Lovely Park up for the night 01/10/20. Very popular with other vans, 6 others here tonight. Quiet throughout the night. Gets busy with dog walkers/runners from 7am. Full 4G and phone signal. No services. Fantastic Views across Stirling.

Habe hier von Sonntag auf Montag eine sehr ruhige und erholsame Nacht verbracht. Schöne Aussicht (Hügel und Stirling) und Möglichkeiten für einen abendlichen Spaziergang.

Lovely spot. Very busy with local walkers, so, large vans please park considerately so as not to hog space. There are more parking bays on side of road 100 meters away. There are 2 roads to get up here, both are narrow, steep, single track with passing places, Sherrifmuir Road from the A9 is the better way up than from the B998.

A cracking view, lovely woodland area and close to the fabled devils bucket / sherrifmuir paradise pools as well as a starting point for walking up dumyat. However, a frequented car park until around midnight at the weekend and early morning walkers. No problems at all but we prefer a quieter spot for total privacy.

Google maps and copilot both suggested a very tricky road to get here—one that would not have been navigable if another car had been coming from the opposite direction. We’re trying the other road tomorrow morning to see if it’s any easier. Otherwise it’s a lovely spot, quiet or occasioned by friendly people.

Very tight to get to in a larger set up. arrived 10.30 at night, loads of cars and locals. Didnt feel comfortable at all. decided to move on. very pretty.

Super vue, endroit calme, proche de stirling, de la place pour plusieurs voitures et campingcar éventuellement. site de depart de marche, les gens viennent le matin pour se promener. très sympa.

Super endroit calme avec une super vue. Attention, pour les camping car, la route d'accès est étroite. Nous vous conseillons l'accés par Sheriffmuir road, un peu plus large.
