Nice quiet location, open field. some level, some sloping, potaloo's on field, good basic wash up / toilet area down at the main farm, with hot shower available as well, also fridge freezer can be used in same area , use power socket by fridge to charge phone etc. (i took my own multi adaptor), stayed 4 nights August 2023 as single car camper. Good for walking

really nice basic site. £5pppn. £4 for a big sack of fire wood. fire pits dotted around the site. 2 toilets and drinking water available in the field. showers, washing up area and freezer a short walk down the hill to the farm. very friendly owners and easy access to Thor's Cave down a bridleway, we cycled there the first half was quite rough and steep but once in the manifold valley smooth path.

Echt in the middle of fu…….nowhere.

As it says in the overview write up, it's basic but adequate with good walks all around.......so no surprises. It's a good and, when we visited, little used site given its June. Sufficient level ground for perhaps 5 vans. Working farm yet, friendly owners have time to chat. Now £6 pppn

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Hellende staanplaats in de weide met mooi uitzicht. Vanwege de heftige nachtelijke regenval waren we vastgereden op de staanplaats. We werden met de glimlach uit de nood geholpen door de boer. Propere buitentoilet. We betaalden 15 pond voor 2 personen met 2 honden.

Owners are so accommodating and very easy going and helpful. Great to be able to see a farm working and walks are amazing around manifold valley

The owners are so lovely. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I will say no WiFi, no signal an the only pub close by was a trek to get to but was actually a good walk after we'd sat down. can't wait to go back!! was nice to turn off our phones an have a proper break. views were stunning as well, we stayed on the bit that has electric on it. rang up before hand to book. felt really safe too. thanks :)

Fantastic site in a fantastic location. Large field with stunning views which have around 8 x picnic benches dotted about. Male and female toilets, tap and bins at bottom of field. Just down the hill towards the farm are more toilets with shower and freezer selling local ice cream. You will struggle to find a site as good as this for the price at £5 per night

Very relaxed and welcoming little site. One of our favourites!

Lovely little site fiver an adult so bargain for me and my twins. Free hot shower and some toilets nothing fancy but super for a fiver a night. Friendly owners lovely donkeys Only down side was a large group that said they came regularly meant a gang of kids from age 4 to 18 being very mean to my six year old girl. She has short hair and they refused to call her a girl. Calling her it and he and despite me talking to them reducing her to tears a number of times. I caught them asking her to prove she was a girl and threatening to throw her down a flight of stairs. Also playing football till gone eleven and hitting cars with the ball. Which was so sad as all the other regular campers where lovely and we were lucky to have incredibly friendly and helpful neighbours. So if love to go back but the idea of that other group being there puts me off

Basic facilities but perfectly adequate for a self contained camper van stay. Sloping field so chocks were needed. Duck eggs from the farm were excellent and very good price! The hosts are very friendly and have local information for walks to the pub and small villages nearby.

  • 5/5

Nice place, a bit windy :), you've got 2 basic toilets, drinking water, 5 £ per person, best thing is you can buy logs on the farm 4£ bag and have a fire

  • 2/5

This area is on a hill so you will need wheel chucks to balance out. I went during storm Alex, it was quiet and I wasn't charged. didn't use any of the facilities and I think they were closed anyway. It was a bit of a tight road getting there. I wouldn't bring a caravan there. The VW was fine.
