Attempted to stay in early February. Pub was shut and phone appeared to be disconnected. Recommend you check before visiting.

we stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. very secure, gravelled, level plot with EHU. Lovely couple who run the site. Made us feel very welcome, as did the local residents. Food in the pub was excellent. would recommend and we will definitely return in the summertime as right next to river and excellent beer garden and grounds.

fantastic stop over. very friendly owners. Great little pub, very good food and beer. spotless pub toilets open evenings only. £10 or £15 with EHU. Great hardstanding overlooking the river. great beer garden and dogs are allowed in the pub, there was one last night. highly recommend.

Our dog, George, wasn’t aloud in the pub. I don’t know why not, he’s an absolute legend. The pitch was flat, with sky up above. There’s a donkey in the adjacent field, sound fellow.

Stayed before the refurb and it used to be free if you ate/drank in pub. Newly refurbished post on Facebook shows they now charge per night for staying over. Great food though, fantastic hosts. Beautiful place.

Arrived at the Jug Inn at 1.00pm on Wednesday to check out the parking. Pub was not open. Went to look at paddock where previous reviews and photos show motorhome parking. Found that the paddock had been dug up with earth moving equipment on it, no longer available for overnight parking! Probably sold off for development. Suggest ringing pub to check the situation if you intend on visiting here.

Having heard about this pub and living only 30 minutes away, we went over to check it out. It’s exactly as described, friendly and supportive landlord who only wants you to use his pub to stay there. There is a £5 charge to use the 16amp EHU but that’s entirely fair. The MH area is in a separate paddock with its own tables and bench seats. There is a separate beer garden with facilities for children. The pub serves real ale in the bar, bottled and on tap. There’s also a lovely circular walk via the River Aire back to the village.

We stayed for one night and had a really good reception and meal from the very nice owners. Maybe a good idea to call in advance to check availability, particularly during these Covid times. The animals are a bonus as is Barney the Donkey who lives next door.
