Grand parking idéal pour les camping-cars. Jour seulement, fermé et verrouillé à 20h. Cet endroit est maintenant ouvert aux camping-cars la nuit. J'ai ajouté une photo du conseil le disant.

Large parking area ideal for motorhomes to the side of the main carpark. 8pm-8am is £11 paid by the PaybyPhone app. There is a specific carpark code for the nighttime parking which is 806060. This does not include the daytime parking which is a separate charge, payable at machine or on the app, even though it says 24hour parking.

Großer Stellplatz neben dem Campingplatz ideal für Wohnmobile. Circa 5-10 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Dieser Ort ist jetzt über Nacht für Wohnmobile geöffnet.

Handy place for visiting Bowness. Carpark is large but gets muddy and a bit flooded in bad weather. We had 2 quiet nights. Consider buying the 3 day parking for £20 if planning to stay 2-3 nights (nighttime is charged separately from 8pm) as it’s £8.80 for 6+hrs. Quiet at this time of year.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, felt very safe, quiet mostly,1 boy racer during night up and down main road. 50m away so no problem..Toilets clean 50p to use, helps the upkeep of them. Pay at machine, need to pay during the day, and then pay separately from 8.00pm-8.00am..£11.00.but you can’t pay before 8.00pm..10 min walk into Town, plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants,Lake District prices though..

  • 5/5

Really good place to stay loads of space £11 a night near brilliant town full of pubs a restaurants, we will definitely be coming back

  • 5/5

A great stop. £15 for 24 hours in the lakes is great. We had a peaceful night .

  • 4/5

Ended up here after the campsite we booked flooded. Was perfectly fine and flat, it doesn’t look like much but was quiet and the loos were clean (very cold though) and 50p. It’s literally right next to the camping caravan site so lots of people doing a lap looking for the camping site

  • 3/5

We went to stay last night. Arrived in the dark and not stayed before, there were about 8 other vans parked up when we arrived. Seemed ok to start with but then a few youngsters driving around in their cars and we felt a bit uneasy so we left. A great spot for daytime parking as plenty of space for larger vehicles

  • 4/5

This was my first choice for a park up in bowness but many reviews said gates close at 8 and wasn't arriving till gone 11. Tried it anyway and was lucky enough gates was open, very busy in the bottom car park for campers. So been a smaller van parked up in the normal car park. Must of been a party in one of vans as lots of loud noises and arguing right up till 6am. Shame really because other than that was a decent spot with toilets too, although they was 50p i required. In total paid £11 for the overnight charge till 7am, although I couldn't find this option on my phone so did it at the machine. Then paid for some 6 hours of parking on my phone so we didn't have to get up early to sort it would stay again ideal walking distance into the town and lake.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot! So much space, you can park anywhere. We paid £13 for 24 hours, pay on your phone & it gives you a cheaper deal. Toilets open 24/7. A little shop opens first thing for snacks. 5 min shortcut walk to Bowness Bay. The land train & buses start from here so a great spot to explore. Safe, secure. Amazing 5 star spot.

  • 5/5

Stayed here pleasant night close to town

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, very close to Bowness. Hop on Hop Off bus at the entrance to the site.

  • 4/5

Great location. Short walk to Windermere it’s self. Toilets 50p, £20 3 days parking.

  • 4/5

There’s a tap to fill up on water at the back (gents) side of the toilets. Parking prices are separate for day and overnight, it’s super confusing. We paid for a week at £38.70 but this doesn’t include overnight. Someone took a photo of our van this morning so I expect a fine is in the post, disappointingly. The overnight fee is separately payable at the machine and the £11 tariff appears AFTER 8PM on a nightly basis, you can’t buy it beforehand or in advance. Really handy for town/lake. Quiet. Toilets aren’t as filthy as some reviews would have you believe but it is 50p .

  • 4/5

The payment situation is a bit confusing, but we managed to pay £7.50 via app, which told us we had until 8am. There are other signs saying the overnight fee is paid separate to this, but we managed to get away without paying this. Your mileage may vary.

  • 4/5

Öffentlicher Parkplatz, separate Gebühren für das Parken tagsüber und das Übernachten (von 20:00 bis 8:00 für 11£)

  • 5/5

Lots of space and an easy walk to Bowness and public transport

  • 5/5

Couldn’t ask for much more in such a great position! Paid through the app £20 got us 3 days. Quiet at night and bus right at the entry.

  • 4/5

Park and Green double-decker Bus for Lake District (5 Persons) £19.80, specially recommended if your campervan is wider then 2m. Very narrow roads.

  • 4/5

Great value at £6:20 for 14 hrs. 500m from the lake. Lovely walk into Bowness turn left out of car park and 100m on left is gravel path to town along the lake. Toilets are 50p. Would have given 5⭐️ if had grey waste dump.

  • 5/5

Good park up just shy of £20 for 3 nights and you can use the ticket at other car parks cats liked it

  • 4/5

5-10 min walk from centre. 10 quid for the night but extendable, easy to pay via app. It was quite and felt safe. Toilets are 24h but cost 50p and were not in a great state when we visited.

  • 5/5

One of our favourite overnight stays. Great location (5/10 min walk into the centre), very clean & quiet, huge car park, 24hr toilets & £10 to park overnight for motorhomes.

  • 5/5

Great overnight spot. £11 8-8. came mid week, arrived at 1900hrs and was only 4 campervans/ motorhomes here. very quiet. Will definitely use again.

  • 4/5

Great place to stay for a night or 2. We arrived around 10:30am and the car park was starting to fill up however we managed to find a parking space immediately. There’s loads of spaces to park and you can park on the grass at the side if not. We stayed in a campervan. 5 minute walk to Bowness Bay. Lost one star as the toilets were ‘Out of order’ during our 2 night stay. £18.30 for 3 nights.

  • 4/5

Good and quiet stay here in our camper. £10 overnight stay, paid using the machine. Minutes from the lake with shops, restaurants, pubs. Market on Sunday which was lovely. We arrived early, plenty of parking but got very busy mid-afternoon. Lost 1 star as toilets were closed on Sunday morning which was not ideal. Would stay again!

  • 5/5

Ideal location, nice and flat, no chocks! Quiet when we were there so dog could run around. No mess. 50p toilet contactless. £10 overnight, no issues.

  • 4/5

Good overnight stay, very quite, we stayed last night 6.2.23 24h toilets 50p card only, £10 for overnight stay 8-8 at 8pm the pay machine automatically changes to £10, Close to town, pubs and restaurants. our bad points, for some reason no one cleaned up after their dogs and the car park was full of dog mess (it was all over) and in this area we didn't find any paths around the lake to walk

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the area , lots of space nice and flat with toilets too , we purchased a 3 day ticket and used the local buses to get about

  • 5/5

Nice overnight stop. Paybyphone app to pay for overnight.Overnight charge is a standard £10. Better to do it correctly. Lots of level ground. Good all weather site. Car park is called Braithwaite Fold.

  • 5/5

loads of space and only charged £4.50 for overnight parking on the app. not too many people and fairly peaceful at night. toilets are 50p, male toilets were very dirty but females were perfectly cleaned and stocked.

  • 5/5

Loads of space and toilets are 50p

  • 4/5

Stayed last night. 08/22. Good location, loads of space. 5 other vans, £10 for 8pm-8am bit pricy, in our opinion, but was quiet. Quite a bit of rubbish had been left around which was a shame.

  • 5/5

Fantastic place to park, arrived at 5.30pm very easy to park and walk around the lake and shops. £10 over night, very pleasant

  • 5/5

Great park up, very reasonably priced and lots of space. short walk to the lake or restaurants and shops. would definitely park here again.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet car park stayed for one night over the weekend. There is toilets which are a small fee unless you have a radar key. Running water also here. Central to Windermere town & the lake it’s around a 5 minute walk into Windermere town. It’s £10 for an over night stay. 4 stars due to machine not working & taking me 30 mins to work the app! Overall great stay.

  • 5/5

Great stop over, right by the marina in the Bowness on Windermere, we could walk everywhere and also get buses or cruises very easily. Lots of great bars restaurants, and shops one of our best stopovers. paid £18 got three days, Toilets were 50p. If you’re looking for a treat I would also recommend Porto Restaurant, excellent food and service.

  • 5/5

Very quiet and loads of room. Not far to walk to be central and can’t got wrong for £10!

  • 4/5

Big spacious parking area but very dusty when we were here. Varied from 2 to 15 vans occupancy. Check council website as £10 overnight fee seems only to be 8pm-8am. Other times need additional payment and 3 day pass does NOT include overnights. However no parking wardens seen to enforce tickets. Parking app was very useful.

  • 4/5

Great location, 5 min walk to Bowness. £10 8pm-8am or £18 for three days! We stayed with med/large MH, got the last spot turning up at 13:30 on a sat aft. Wasn’t the quietest night with other campers playing loud music etc but no bother.

  • 5/5

It's a separate location code for the £10 campervan fee to be accepted when paybyphone '806060'. If you enter the daytime code it will come up with a cheaper tariff which you could end up finding yourself with a fine for incorrect payment.

  • 5/5

We stayed for one night. Nice place, plenty of room and very quiet at night.

  • 5/5

Ground nice and flat with clean toilets that you pay 50p to use unless you have a radar key then they are free. Been pretty quiet here apart from next door looks like they are building hard standing with electric hook up and slight noise from that but it don’t bother you.

  • 5/5

Flat plenty of room and toilets

  • 5/5

better to use paybyphone app arrived at 17.30 cost £8.60 until 11.00am

  • 4/5

stayed here on the20/4/22 nice and quiet no boy racers, toilets open 24hrs card payments only, short walk into town lots of pubs and restaurants.

  • 4/5

10 minute walk into Bowness-on-Windermere. Toilet facilities were closed when we stayed. No gates so could leave at any time which was a bonus. The car park had a lot of pot holes so be careful when driving through. Would stay again as it is a good location and affordable.

  • 1/5

Stayed last night and won’t be back. The car park wasn’t secure, the gates left open which resulted in joy riders circling the car park from midnight till 3am!

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet overnight stay was about 15 campers can recommend this place

  • 5/5

Ideal spot only 5min walk to boat tours and shops and restaurants..

  • 5/5

Very quiet car park approximately 10 minute walk into Bowness. £10 for the night but be aware you may need to pay for extra time if you wish to arrive before 8pm or leave after 8am. Didnt use the toilets but 50p to use.

  • 5/5

Perfect for visiting Lake Windermere and Bowness on Windermere. Parked here all day (£8) and night (£10) 8pm -7am. Very busy in day (arrive before 11am to ensure you get parked in peak times) only one of 11 vans for the night. Not much to look at on carpark but there are toilets and for £10 per night you can't go wrong. Just wish other places would provide similar places for motorhomes/Campers.

  • 5/5

Great location, short stroll away from Bowness, in summer definitely book ahead if you wish to eat out anywhere as it is VERY busy!!

  • 5/5

We stayed here for 2 nights and found it peaceful and quiet. Great location for Lake Windermere…

  • 4/5

Stayed here for 3 nights great location some one mentioned there was water, but there isn’t the water taps are not working. We paid £17 for 3 night and days which worked out a lot cheaper than paying every day. Plenty of vans using it. There is no barrier at all

  • 5/5

Would highly recommend, easy walk into town, safe and secure.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot and good value. Just pay £17 for three days and you are covered. Really quiet and plenty of other vans about.

  • 5/5

The weather turned out to be amazing so stayed for an extra night after being on site. This spot is ideal for the price, as other have said it's just a section of the car park dedicated to vans/motorhomes, loads of space and quite (it was a sunday night). Also, as others have said, the gates weren't locked after 8 so late arrival and early departure seem o be ok

  • 5/5

Stayed last bank holiday in may, good location, plenty of space, we spent approximately £200 over the weekend, in shops, fishshops, pubs, tour bus etc, so its a win win scenario for the motorhomers and local acconomey, and congratulations to the local council, for allowing this, however can I just remind you to respect this stopover, no deck chairs, or drinking outside, be allusive as possible.

  • 3/5

Large car park with plenty of room for campers/motor vehicles. £10 for overnight parking plus additional parking through the day. Quiet at night with no disturbance. Close to Bowness so didn’t take long to walk in. Toilets still locked at 7.30am and no sign to say what time they reopen which wasn’t helpful. Bins present.

  • 4/5

Stayed here at the weekend. Close to town (5 min walk). Quiet on a night. Toilets open roughly 6am-6pm. Would advise parking at far end if it rains as next to bus stop area does tend to flood a bit.

  • 4/5

Just a car park. Very big and we got in easily in a busy day with our 8.5 meter motorhome. There are no markings in spaces. It’s a short walk into Bowness. Also gates are not locked at 8pm despite what it says.
