Steamills lake parking - always open, sorrounded by nature and easy access to walks, very quiet and no traffic at all. We have also really enjoyed having dinner and breakfast by the lake, with a great a view on the forest of Dean.

Spent one night here on a weekend, lots parked up on arrival for hiking and fishing but left as it got dark. No trouble overnight, no disturbances, good 4g, brilliant walks/cycling trails. Road is a little rough but did not break my van. Take the turning off A4136 rather than B4227 as the latter is narrow and very very potholed. Will use this parkup again if I am nearby.

What a lovely & quiet park up, with lots of different walks. Had a peaceful sleep & everyone who came in the morning for dog walks or jogging were all respectful & did not make much noise !!! I will certainly be using this park up again.

Lovely quiet and secluded spot. No disturbance or neighbours. Had an afternoon of first walks and then a little walk into town for a drink and some food.

Fairly quiet night, some traffic driving past (think the lane gets used as a cut through). Couple of other campers here, didn’t hear a peep from them. Local walkers about fairly early but friendly. As others have said no bins! No “no overnight parking” signs seen

Bumpy road, okay if you take it verrry slow! Good phone signal, no bins not even dog bins. Few walkers/cyclists about. And some teenagers kicking balls around that hit the van a couple times. Other than that a decent enough spot.

Road does not appear to be so bad anymore. Quiet night with no issues.

Quiet spot with plenty of walks all around, only issue is the road to get to the spot which is not for the faint hearted (or fully loaded)

Road to it is not useable. Is a van breaker. Very ruff. Do not use.

The lane leading up to the car park has some seriously large holes currently full of water. The car park is ok. We didn't stay the night just checking it out and had a walk. Will probably stay for an evening some time but with friends.
