Bel endroit.

Road parking for 4 approx vehicles. 2hrs between 8am-6pm Narrow & steep road (in places) here so best avoided by motorhomes but ok for normal vans. Official beach car park is here also-but no overnight parking allowed within it. Large grassy area with picnic benches & bins. Beautiful spot.

Hermoso lugar.

Great spot for overnight overlooking the sea. Two wheels on pavement without blocking pedestrians. Two hours free then overnight 6 pm til 8am and two hours so 10am depart. The car park behind doesn’t allow Motorhome’s so you can’t then shift to that in the day sadly. Perhaps a Campervan could but it has a very clear sign saying no so my guess is you don’t take the risk. Very narrow roads!

Perfect spot. Parked over night no bother. Gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Popular with swimmers in the morning and evening. Road down from salcombe has numerous hair pin bends but the roads are wide and fine for a lwb boxer. May be a little tedious in a motorhome especially in the peak season if its busy. * No phone signal * used cafe Wi-Fi from park up.

One of my favourite places to park. Toilets open 24hours and a short walk. Normally bump 2 wheels on the curb to level out the van. Always been really quite with an odd group passing on the way home from the pub. Very popular in the morning with sea swimming and everyone has always been super friendly and like a chat. Not the greatest of phone signal, but further up near winking prawn is ok.

Great place to be for one night. Beautiful beach. The sign is for 2 hours only from 8am- 6pm so we stayed from 4pm- 10am with no problems :-)

  • 5/5

Great stop over. Only ones there last night and quiet throughout Sunday morning. 8am-6pm two hrs but car park adjacent to move into to spend the day. I would say take the road from Salcombe, a number of hairpin bends but doable (Ford Transit LWB). Came out the other way this morning and the roads are very steep & narrow. Might be more difficult in peak season as there’s very little passing places.

Great spot! Toilets open 24 hours. Perfect, quiet location waking up in the stunning beach cove. 15 minute walk in to the centre of salcombe.

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night, very peaceful. We arrived late and there was no one else parked in the bay. Right next to a beach - perfect for our dog to run around on. Quite a few bins in the car park. Weak signal on EE, none on o2.

super place, had a lovely night here. 4 spaces on the road free and no overnight restrictions. the car park next to it however does exclude overnighting. come on local council, the sensible thing would be to allow a few long spaces in the carpark overnighting, freeing the road. Even me as a van dweller can see would be beneficial to this stunning spot. campers don't leave a mess, tourists do.

lovely spot. no trouble at all all. free over night. toilets 2 minutes walk open all night. can get wifi from cafe password winking20

  • 5/5

We were lucky to get a spot here at just after 4pm so could stay until 10am. Gorgeous views. Great spot for paddleboarding. Not the best drive down in a motor home lol. The traffic warden is around. Would stay again if lucky enough to catch a space.

I spent the day at the beach with my dog. It was nice to find a dog friendly beach. The sea was full of seaweed but once you get past that then it’s nice to swim and paddle board. There is a restaurant by the beach and a car park if the free spaces are full

Amazing spot. Parked up 6pm in the heatwave with not too much stress. 5 of us here overnight all super friendly. 1 had stayed 2 nights and days and not seen anyone for tickets so if you dare I’d recommend it. Lovely locals and so nice to have dips first thing and last thing. No signal but Wi-Fi from winking prawn password winking20 . Amazing toilets poshest I’ve ever seen in a public loo

Great spot made more beautiful with gorgeous weather. Very quiet with friendly locals/holiday makers.

Great stay last night. The road/beach was a bit noisy into the late night but you expect that in the middle of the summer hols. Also dog walkers were passing the van from around 5.30am but again, to be expected. The toilets were good and open at all times but it's a 1km walk into town and Salcombe can be pretty pricey so recommend bringing the food/drink you require!

excellent spot! So lovely to take a dip before bed and then again first thing in the morning. Calm, serene, peaceful. On a road but very quiet. Beautiful views. Close to a pub, loos and bins.

  • 5/5

Great spot, quite no phone signal but there is 4g by the public loos. Toilets where open all night which is great. Only 5 spaces on the road side but epic spot. We went in april and rocked uo at 6 and still got a space. Dont park in the main car park! 10/10

Excellent place, we stayed for 2 nights and was such a clear sky to star gaze and absolutely beautiful watching the sunrise in the morning, and we had the sound of the waves sending us to sleep. Plenty of space for 4 vans. The toilets are just a short walk and are very clean. 100% coming back here!

  • 5/5

What a find. came here after not being able to park at Dartmouth. peugeot boxer size van no problem. went to sleep to the sweet sound of the sea.

  • 5/5

Wow.! Found this thanks to park4night, newbies so just finding out way around . It was a beautiful stopover. Quiet with space for 3-4 vans , toilet block available. Friendly neighbours and other vans happy to stand and chat. It was super lovely .

Well what can I say. Arrived here late on a Thursday Night, only one here. Parked up on the Road. Free from 6pm till 8am. Room for 4 vehicles. During the day I put my Camper Van in main Carpark ( £6.50 all day ) then it’s first come first served back out on road. Stayed 2 nights, 24 hour toilet block, no shower ( it’s been taken away ) cleaned twice a day. The beach is amazing, enjoy

Wonderful to sleep to sound of waves, wake up to sun over the cove and have morning swim! Sleeping allowed but daytime limited to 2 hrs stay at a time so can overnight 16.00-10.00 then move to CP next door until returning 16.00. No limit on no. of nights. Police passed every day no problem, didn’t even question cars on double yellow lines. Some MHs stayed several days. 15-20 mins walk into town.

Great place. Met a really cool guy who had been staying for a while. Had a good chat. Locals are friendly and the views are great. No bother.

  • 4/5

Nice cove beach with lovely views, cafe, take away and public toilets opposite the beach, full when we came so left at 6pm

  • 5/5

The most beautiful lay by to stay in, free 4 spaces then a further 2 which are on a slight incline opposite toilets. Big carpark for day then moved to lay-by at 6pm. Wonderful bbq restaurant and bar the winking prawn , at night we were only campervan parked up

  • 5/5

Amazing spot.... parking bay is a 8am-6pm 2hr zone. So we moved into the space at 6pm, a beautiful evening and managed a morning swim (the water is crystal clear!) before moving on at 10am. No bother what so ever :) public Toilets near by are open 24hrs... We were joined by three other vans, it was busy because it was Aug bank holiday. Will definitely be coming back here ☺️

  • 5/5

Can't believe this place hasn't seen a bit more activity with campers. We stayed in the layby for 2 nights. Couple of locals asked if that's what we were doing and didn't mind at all, they even encouraged it. (although they were ex van owners) The official carpark says no overnight parking but people told us that it can be done and no one really checks or has an issue with it.

  • 5/5

Moved to lay-by at 6pm, no issues. Gorgeous view of the beach. Public toilets open all night. Had lunch at the winking prawn restaurant. Lots of activity in this area. very popular spot for swimming and paddle boarding etc. Dog friendly beach and small field. Quite loud area in the mornings! Woken up to gardeners, runners, swimmers and paddle boards being pumped up!
