Joli petit endroit juste à côté de la rivière Ribble. A quelques pas seulement du parc de la ville ou de Preston. Il y a une promenade à vélo qui fait circuler Preston sans prendre la route sur la plus grande partie des 21 miles.

Lovely little spot right next to the River Ribble. Only a short walk into the city park or into Preston. There's a bike ride that circulates preston without going on the road for the best part of 21 miles.

Ideal, quiet spot very handy to motorway. Plenty of space. Made for the perfect half way point between South London and Cairnryan to get some much needed rest.

Great recommendation, perfect for a stop-over en-route to Scotland. The dog-walkers had all gone by the time we turned in and we had a really good night's sleep. Yes, a tight turn, but well worth it.

Amazing little spot tucked away behind an old pub. You would never know it was there. Beautiful wide river Ribble, with ducks and swans to watch and feed. Couple of local pubs to visit and handy selection of shopping outlets for your essentials. Nice footpaths from parking area to have a stroll. Tiny bit of traffic movement into the night, but nothing to disturb.

Stayed here two nights while on a training course in Sept 23. Great little spot with minimal hassle and low noise (unless I'm snoring). Not too far from a Lidl(2min) Aldi,Range,Home & bargain etc. Will definitely stay again. Dropped a star as it's a bit litter ridden ...so I did a litter pick while I was there (got to look after the places that let us stay if we want a future van life).

Beautiful views at sunrise, easy to park, tight turning on the way in but we came from the opposite direction.

  • 4/5

Quite a sharp turn but apart from the road noise coming from the main road a lovely view of the river and quiet.

  • 5/5

Great spot for one night, quiet in the week. Nice view, some wildlife. Unfortunately a bit dirty.

  • 4/5

Good little spot. space for several vehicles. Busy till late evening but quietened down. Peaceful night with pleasant view, by the river.

Arrived at 11.15pm as a night stopover on the way to Scotland. Quiet night - good for a stopover

  • 5/5

Schöner ruhiger Platz. Etwas schwierig zu finden, da die Abfahrt dorthin ein wenig versteckt liegt.

  • 5/5

quiet night in a lovely setting cycle and walking paths all around giving safe access to country park and centre of Preston. 10minute walk to large retail complex with Waitrose, Vue cinema, McDonald's and others. The Yew Tree pub does good food and I got my 7.35m van in car park as it wasn't busy otherwise 5 hours parking in retail complex

Great night stop over fairly quiet , narrow turn in with our 7.3m motorhome but a fantastic night stop highly recommended

  • 5/5

Really quiet space, about 10 minutes from the highway. Parking at the start of nice little walk and cycle paths.

  • 5/5

A good quiet spot with views over the river a lot of dog walkers and cyclists but very quiet overnight no problems whatsoever would use again.

Arrived extremely early/late 4am....fantastic little spot couple of other van, stayed out of each others way, very considerably parked between us all, didn't notice any noise, woke up few dog walkers nothing major. Brilliant spot

Stopped for night as just off M6. Very quiet and no cars or people passed. Lovely view of the River Ribble, great for bird watchers as saw a kingfisher perched a few metres from the camper. Woke up to an inch of snow, slightly concerned about getting back up the tarmac hill but was fine. Might be a problem if very icy. Would recommend

Arrived here late as I moved on from another spot on this page. was a very quite place and had a good night's sleep. got woken up by a couple of fisherman parking next to me the next morny, but was well past my normal wake up time ha ( must of been a good sleep). I would recommend and would stay again if I'm in the area.

Nice stopover, there are actually 2 car parks very close together, one is right beside the football pitch, was told it gets very busy on a Sunday when football match is is on. free fishing on the River Ribble if you have a rod licence, if not you can buy online for £6 a day. Lots of trails for walking and cycling. Good internet and phone signal. Stayed 2nights, would stay again, great little spot.

Stayed one night, very quiet and close to local shops.

One of the best wild camping spots I've stayed in. Safe, quiet, morning birdsong, nice morning view and I was lucky not experience late night teens in loud music playing cars. Bonus

  • 3/5

We parked around the corner.. it was Friday night and the spot was full of fishermen's cars .. more arrived soon after we stopped .. guys said they would be fishing all night. Still full after 10pm.

  • 5/5

stayed here 2 nights fri & sat, great little spot, on my own, no hassle. I will be back to try the 21 mile bike ride route

  • 4/5

Really nice spot for Sleep-over. Bins. Recreational grounds, walks. Water. Start of cycling routes.

  • 4/5

Nice and quiet after 10.30ish. Spent a night and part of next day there.

  • 4/5

Guter Stop für eine Nacht. Nach 23 Uhr war es ruhig, morgens ein paar Fussgänger. Es gibt mehrere Mülleimer und diverse Spaziergänge.

  • 4/5

Stayed 2 night. Nice little spot by the river. Very quite both nights with cars and dog walkers gone by 10pm. Only downside was the unemptied bin over flowing with pizza boxes etc. There was another bin 20 yards away however virtually unused...

  • 4/5

Arrived late and left early but really quiet night, no one came past at all. Nice views to wake up to.

  • 4/5

Really enjoyed waking up here with the river ahead. Quiet spot, lots of runners, dog walkers. Dogs enjoyed a run along the river. Would definitely stay here again

  • 5/5

Really nice spot with walks over what’s like a nature reserve. Had a quiet night and woke up to a lovely sunrise. Will definitely use again.

  • 3/5

Nice and quiet that night (during Storm Dudley). The road does go to some houses/a farm so there can be some through traffic, but fairly sheltered from the wind that night.

  • 5/5

Update...pub now being renovated, great walks, large nature trail and Guild Wheel 21 miles. Police pulled up along side us for their tea break, gave us the nod, so all sound.

  • 3/5

Access is a lane down the side of a derelict pub, not very obvious, I thought it might just be access to the rear of the pub. It is a wet horrible day, today but I can see this would be excellent in better weather. A derelict pub nearby, the grounds of which are being used as dump which is a detraction if you look in that direction.

Great little spot by the river. Early sunrise was nice here. A few visitors in the night would drive down, stop for ten minutes then leave. A bit messy with litter. Officially walking and riding routes start from here. Pretty quiet. No bother. Only me here.
