Parking area and refuge currently closed (jan 2021)

We arrived at 11.30pm and spent the night here. Very quiet until the early morning when hikers and guides start their day. We had a nice view of volcanic activity during the night. The rifugio is open in the morning for coffee. Recommended to sleep here to start for a hike in the morning

Ja, genau! Sonntag Abend im Sommer war noch bis 23 Uhr was los viele Wanderer kamen zurück und hielten sich noch an der bewirtschafteten Schutzhütte auf. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig, inmitten der Natur,mitBlick auf den Etna. Unbedingt früh aufstehen oder Schlaf unterbrechen, der Sonnenaufgang ist ein Traum.
