Nuit dans un charmant petit village juste à l'extérieur du Wiltshire. Local pour garage et réparations

Overnight layby off the side of the road in lovely little village just outside of Wiltshire. Very spacious, ample spaces and two ways in/out. Local to shop garage and repairs. Walking / mountain biking routes locally in the village of Lugershall as well as old castle ruins and nearby play park. Frequented by lorries and commercial van drivers for tacho breaks, as well as the odd motor homes or conversions. Area has been known over the years for dodgy dealings so local police crawl through sporadically to check all is okay. No problem to be there overnight though.

Trees are good at shielding a lot of the road noise which calms at night. Burger van in the morning a bonus. Lorries and a motorhome for company. No trouble.

Great little lay-by a lot of wagons but always feel safe when they are about or other motorhomes other than that a great nights sleep

Stay here often, never had a problem. It is a popular truck stop so expect trucks rumbling past. Services including Gas just 200 yards down road and shops in town - easy 5 min walk. During the day there’s a popular burger van selling good quality food. Fantastic place to overnight if you want to walk the nearby Salisbury plains in daytime.

Stayed here for one night. Loads of space and offset from the main road no one really here. Only problem for me was the constant rumbling of tyres from the main road doing 50/60mph throughout the night. It’s more the road surface as I’ve slept often next to roads with no issue.
