if you have UK custom van conversion which DVLA will not register as a motorhome - there are thousands and my professional full conversion is one - Ringgo will not issue a ticket as you are in a van not a motorhome. Beware. As a van parked in a carpak round the corner - behind Cullins. Seems fine

Number 1 on my "Bad night" list. There is nothing in Dover to have a good night. Stay away ! on top they ask 11 £ to stay here for the night and I think I saw someone giving fine ....

a bit noisy especially in the evening but very close to the ferry so perfect location. it said £11 for the motorhome from 6PM to 9AM. We did pay but ghe locals told us do not pay because nobody is there to check overnight. We also been told there is a campsite near by ( in internet ) charging £5 a night but never checked it.

very noisy, during evening and night. 10£ via ring-go. parking Maison Dieu isn't far away, very quiet and safe. And free from 6pm till 9 am!

  • 3/5

Ideal place to stay for one night waiting for next morning’s ferry. Pleasant view to the ferry port. Unfortunately during the night the road was used by a local youths for loud chatting and speed driving. But still happy with the £9.60 stay.

Parked here after a late ferry crossing! Initially struggled to locate it on the satnav, as the postcode didn’t take us to the correct location. Manually located. Found other motorhome parked for the night which helped me confirm the location at 1am. Used the RingGo app to pay using the location code on the machine. Quiet night, and woke to stunning views. Will definitely use it again.

Stayed here for free after 6pm no hassles. Some other campers also parked up. Nice spot along the beach promenade for running and has small outdoor gym too and few minutes from ferry port so very convenient for early morning ferry. Close to shops, restaurants, cinema etc. downside boyracers in the area that seem to loiter around, not dangerous just annoying.

We stayed here in our Renault master for the night, pros: plenty of spaces, close to restaurants and shops, great views. Cons: youngsters there till midnight with their cars, cars racing down. there are free toilets right in the car park by the st Mary’s church, also has a kids area down there too.

Stayed here last night (family of 4) after we arrived on a delayed ferry. It was pretty quiet. Ideal for a few hours sleep before heading home. My only issue was making payment - the machine was *so* difficult to use (maybe my brain at 2am) and RingGo wouldn’t work as kept saying our vehicle type not allowed (tried the other location number that didn’t work either). Got there with some patience.

perfect spot to sleep before the ferry. it was very quiet when we stayed. no facilities but the local hotel were very friendly and allowed us to use the toilet. you can also visit their restaurant too. the only downside is that there are alot of street lights but did not cause us a problem whilst sleeping.

  • 3/5

Very noisy. Nice View. Regular security patrol driving around. Just ok to wait for the ferry.

  • 5/5

Very good quiet place. convenient for the ferry port.

  • 3/5

No longer free. £10 per night - 6pm-9am- and the traffic wardens are assiduous with their parking tickets!

  • 1/5

Got a parking ticket here this morning at 04:28 for £25 Visual sign on working lamppost just says cars with caravans have to pay overnight but on checking the small print on the pay machine which I couldn’t read in the dark when I arrived, it says caravans and motorcaravans. Not very clear Dover District Council! If I’d known I could press the yellow button and pay £10 last night I would’ve done

  • 3/5

No Campervans or caravans allowed before 1800hrs and £10 overnight charge from 1800hrs.

We arrived about 10pm for ferry at 4am and stayed for a few hours sleep here. A few teenagers hanging about for a little while and noisy at first. After 11pm it was really quiet and a good view over the seafront. Felt very safe and a great place to stop overnight if waiting on the ferry. Will come back.

  • 2/5

Motorhomes and vans only allowed to park here between 6pm and 8am and now a £10 charge for overnight stay too. Motorhomes and vans nog allowed during day, we got a parking fine even after paying 24 hour fee. Night time was noisy too!

  • 1/5

    Now only cars and motorbikes

  • 4/5

Very handy spot , free over night 5pm til 9am. Plenty of space , lots if other vans. Right next ti the beach and town. Not the quietest due to the busy road not far away but far enough away to be fine. 5 mins from the ferry.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Went to 3 other spots before and didnt feel safe there (no other cars, bad lighting, groups of young adults in cars listening to loud music), finally got here and it was good. Hotels around, well lit area, quiet, in the morning some runners or dog walkers. Toilets were closed, the only minus point.

  • 3/5

Beautiful location and free but I've never seen this many chavs in my life

  • 1/5

Poor nights sleep due to local kids gathering to play music and race cars. wouldn't stay here again.

  • 5/5

Stayed here in July 2020, very quiet and lots of space. no facilities

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here to catch the early ferry the night before. Very quiet, off the main road, bays are long enough for campers and nice view over the beach/port! Slept very well

  • 5/5

We parked on the car park of the hotel Premier In, went and asked and were warmly welcomed. 1pound per hour from 9am to 5pm otherwise free. Public Toilets locked out season :( but very convenient place to catch the early ferry. Recommended
