Stayed here the Sunday night, arrived in the afternoon and had a drink and meal. Had a walk by the river then had another drink at night. Very good food and choice of beers, staff were very friendly we would definitely recommend.

an absolutely brilliant stop, great size car park and lovely home cooked food. the owner had no problem us parking here for the night as we ate a meal in the pub. we booked a table for the evening in the afternoon, glad we did as it was pretty busy. Nice walk along the river. Will definitely come again.

Great stop over. really friendly owners and staff in the pub. food really good. would definitely recommend this place no charge for the parking for the night but we had a meal in the pub.

Great little stopover, but be aware, it's a proper country pub - no frills, but super-friendly and very welcoming. It's a small pub and it gets busy - even though it's "in the middle of nowhere". Food was spot on too. Small, flat car park - no issue with passing traffic. Very good walk immediately opposite, going along the river bank.

Fantastic stop over. Pub served delicious food, staff all very friendly. Dog friendly too. Lovely walks straight from the car park along the river. Would definitely recommend.

It’s rare to see 5 stars from everyone that has commented but this pub stopover deserves every one. Flat parking on gravel, welcoming owner and staff, quality food at reasonable prices and even welcoming to our dog. Not surprising it is very very popular and busy - do book ahead especially for a table to eat.

Proper old fashioned pub lovely food and some great real ale (old peculiar on draught, a fine example) and a warm welcome. Our first pub car park stopover. Definitely will come again.

Great spot - first ever foray with camper van overlooked sheep with new lambs in paddock. Dogs allowed in, good food, friendly staff. Lovely river walk - winged it and loved it! Great sleep and would definitely go back, thank you!

A wonderful place. The pub food is well above average, very down to earth. Staff extremely nice. A special thank you to Clara and Vicky for their smiling service. Parking is level, the loos accessible all night.

Flat car park over the road from the pub. Phone signal. friendly staff, and very dog friendly. Can't fault it, slept well.

Really good pub grub, served by friendly staff. The couple who own the pub are happy for you to stay the night on the car park if you’ve eaten a meal. They leave the doors to the outside toilets open overnight and there’s a water tap at the side of the building. There is a lovely riverside beer garden, but we stayed on a windy rainy New Year’s eve, so didn’t go out in it! Woud really recommend.

Had an excellent meal in a busy little pub. Carpark flat overlooking fields and river Ure. Would definitely go again if we were up that way. some early morning noise from the road but not dreadful.

Top Tip: Call ahead, we were due to arrive 9.30pm so called to see if pub still open. They were about to close as it was a quiet Sunday night but they said they’d stay open for us to have a few drinks (meals finish at 8.30pm) New owner Steve says he will welcome campervans in car park, if we pop in for food or a few pints! Great location, quiet, dark skies. Perfect overnight stop!

Stopped a couple of times this year. Great location - staff, drink and food all exellent. CHANGED HANDS 2nd AUGUST 2021 Worth checking if park4thenighters are still welcome.

Delicious food. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Large, level car park but bit too close to the road for my liking. Still good stopover though.

Just love this pub! Great food & real ales, host very welcoming to motorhomers. Car park easy to maneuver in. Loads of walking in area, dogs welcome. Nearby towns to visit for supplies.
