Great pub and a good night's sleep. We stayed one night in early Feb on a tour of Cornwall. It seemed quite a busy road when we pulled up but it was quiet overnight. The carpark is mostly flat and we parked in the corner out of the way. The pub was great and really friendly, the food was lovely and the portions were massive. They had a great selection of beers. Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here for one night and had a few drinks inside but didn’t try the food. Staff were friendly and happy for us to stay, the fire was on so it was cosy. Good size car park, we could easily fit our motorhome, needed chocks to level out, a great little stop.
Engine inn. Large car park for about 30 vehicles. We in 7 meter. Perfect overlooking fields. The landlords were lovely. Fab pub. Please support them by having drinks or a meal. Well worth a visit
Sehr authentischer Englischer Pub. Wir haben vorher angerufen und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und durften kostenlos auf dem Parkplatz stehen. Zahlung in Pints im Pub :) Es gab ein Billiardturnier und wir sind mit dem Besitzer und den Gästen nett ins Gespräch gekommen. Parkplatz direkt an der Straße, hat uns aber nicht gestört.
Sehr netter Pub, gutes Essen, nette Betreiber. Auch sehr gutes Frühstück. Am Platz sind Keile hilfreich.
We stayed here last night. The car park, across the road from the pub, is grass and earth. Reasonably flat. Fine for our van. The pub itself is steeped in history. It's very old. Food and drink were great - as was the welcome. I had the BBQ ribs with chips. It was superb!

Really nice pub and stopover. Great food and good choice of beers. Owners happy for us to stay in the carpark overnight. Really quiet at night, only 3 cars passed by!

A lovely little stopover, all the pub staff are amazing, no charge to stay in the car park but we had a drink and some food in the evening, and a STUNNING breakfast in the morning. 10/10 will be back.

Sehr schöner Pub. Am Sonntag gibt es kein Abendessen. Wir konnten dennoch am Parkplatz stehen. Ein super freundlicher Wirt. Da der Parkplatz direkt an der Straße ist, ist es etwas laut. Auch in der früh kann man auf Toilette gehen.
Great stay for us last night. We rang ahead to book a table as it was Saturday night and we stayed in their smaller carpark over the road. Lovely people and lovely pub!
Amazing spot. They weren't doing food on our Thursday night visit in October but let us stay in exchange for a couple of drinks each. Super friendly, a few other campers there too which was nice.
An absolute gem of a place! We stopped here as all the campsites in St Ives were full and were really glad we did. The staff and locals were lovely and welcoming, we visited on a Monday night and joined the pub quiz. Food was good and reasonably priced. There’s a smaller carpark on the left that is more suitable for vans. Make sure you ring ahead to check for space and to find out food times.
Resté pour la nuit, emplacement calme. Le pub est vraiment sympas, la meat pie à se taper le c.l par terre.

The pub is amazing. We had a drink on the night and got breakfast in the morning. The most amazing full English for two cost us £12!!! So tasty. The lady at the pub is so lovely and gave our dog treats too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. The car park is hard standing which is relatively flat, it’s quiet, the view is lovely. Can’t fault it
Stayed at the Engine Inn last night. Food good really friendly place and well priced. If you come in from St Ives there is a small firm grass area just about big enough for 2 vans that is quite flat. car park is a little bumpy and sloping, depends how paranoid you are about being level. Tin mine just up the road well worth a visit.
Great park up, staff at pub really friendly. I called them up at lunch time before I rolled up and booked a table as well which was a good idea as they were fully booked for food when I got there.
Fantastic little pub with large parking area over the road, It's slightly quieter to park motorhomes in the bit to the left. Awesome food and very friendly service. can't recommend enough.
Definitely a place to stop. Plenty of places in the car park. Really lovely staff, tasty food at a reasonable price, local ales as well. Recommend the burger or the ribs. As mentioned, ring ahead to let them know. Would happily come back again.
Ring ahead and told them we’d be eating and staying for the night. No problem. Food is good as staff are friendly. Sat outside in their large terrace/patio due to COVID. The road by the pub is a quiet one so no problem sleeping.
