Amazing views! Single track road for around 10mile but ok in 6m MH. No signal at all round both reservoirs so didn’t stay the night

just got back from here absolutely amazing we did this in 7m motorhome if you have the confidence about single track road absolutely go for it we loved it we stayed at the first carpark at the dam never saw a single person we drove all the way round to mennock pass via this way ps don't be nervous about the sound of shotguns it's hunting season we passed a few farmers on the way round with grouse

lovely spot,, can get very busy, stunning views, found a sign about charges lying down next to the fence but no-one came round,, other campers had been there 2 nights and said they hadn't paid either nights.

Great site and appeared to be free. Didn't see any signs for overnight parking. Very quiet and dark. Be careful if you drive the route from Moffat.. Very steep and narrow road. Just about managed it in our transit.

This is a stunning place quiet and beautiful. slightly slopes but within acceptable limits. watch out for sheep if you have a dog. Free unlike the official reservoir carpark. Was warned by a local local to ignore Lady who works for the local estate claiming you need to pay. you don't as not an official campsite. politely tell her to go away!

Great Park up, no charges over night.. people are referring to the main reservoir car park which is pay and display. This location is free! leave no trace

Lovely night spent here. A bit tricky if it’s a big motorhome but it can be done. Peaceful and tranquil

There was definitely a sign, saying £15 charge for overnight, so not sure why the original post said free of charge. A nice spot but not worth £15 for no amenities. The other main reservoir carpark is much nicer and there was no sign with charges when we were there. We didn't want to risk it though.

Amazing view and very quiet. Looks like a dedicated camping site. No signal though.

Open as of 20/7. Several other vehicles there for the night but plenty of space. Made use of firepit at end of the parking.

This is a great place, but the whole car park is temporarily closed due to covid
