lovely place stayed at the top carpark, very quiet warden was very helpful

Rufus13229/06/2023What a fabulous place. Stayed one night and booked the parking through the Northumbrian Waterside Park website on the way (no phone signal at the little car park near the Resevoir). Warden was super helpful and the peace, tranquility, sunset and wildlife was just lovely. Thoroughly recommend for £10.

UPDATE Payment machine now takes online payment. We spent a very peaceful night completely on our own. Toilet facilities at the visitor centre are available during opening hours
ClusteredNomads17/10/2022Only van overnight so very quiet! Warden did come round to check we'd paid but couldn't have been more friendly. Gates were shut at 5pm, and ticket said to vacate by 9am. As mentioned, £10 by coins only but worth it for the great spot

Busy during the day, dead quiet at night (I was the only one). I did not see toilets at the reservoir car park itself but at the entrance car park, yes. CCTV on top of the lookout tower. Would definitely stay again.

amazing place, we stayed there alone, they close the entry at 20.00 pm and we enjoyed our privacy. great sunset, 3 Toitoi toilet, a lot of animals around 10 £ to pay for overnight but its really great area
Crewser2adventures23/06/2022Paid £10 at visitor centre. Beautiful spot overlooking reservoir & had it all to ourselves! Beautiful sunset with rabbits hopping about & owls hooting! Cycled 9 miles around reservoir- half on path, half road.

£10 a night, paid for with coins in the machine. There’s no facilities, but it’s a really lovely quiet spot with friendly wardens and lovely views across the water.

To access the site you enter the Northumbrian water park. there is a cafe and playpark with parking but the best place is further up the access road to the dam. A tarmac carpark surrounded by trees with the dam and reservoir as a backdrop. The ranger is very friendly and full of advice. Great site but only for one night at a time. There are several car parks situated round the reservoir and layby

Lovely parking spot at the end of the dam. £10 to park overnight, no facilities at thus car park but nuce clean toilets and shop at entrance approx 3/4 mile away. Barriers on access road leading to car park close just after 8pm which makes location nice and quiet at night. Ranger does regular rounds, couldn't have been made to feel more welcome
