Lovely place but beware of the locals, very disappointed on a recent visit to be told we were not welcome to stay in our motor home ?in the car park and we had better not have stayed overnight already as its not allowed.So would not recommend to go for the day or even the night ?

Very huge parking of the windfarm. Visitor center with coffee, toilets (check opening times). You can ask the keys for showers, very nice & clean, a proper cabin like at home, very hot water and free! EE signal is so so. Amazing place. Thanks Whitelee!
Pretty cool view, very wild feeling and great for the dogs, pretty flat and nice gravel so no muddy puddles. We had the whole overflow parking lot to ourselves. The ONLY downside is the obvious (wind). We have a pop up van so maybe if you're sleeping a bit lower it would be better, but not much sleep as it was even rocking the van a bit. Still loved it!
Sehr schön hier und total ruhig, Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Café und Dusche sehr sauber. Man kann hier auch gut Fahrrad fahren, wenn es auch ein wenig hügelig ist.
A very unique stay as we struggled to find anywhere near Glasgow. Apart from a few young people in cars and one other camper (& wind & rain) it was very quiet. Very cool views & free use of hot showers really great and thoughtful! Only downside, no veggie sausages at the cafe & lots of midges in the morning but a very small thing!
Super Übernachtungsplatz vor Glasgow… Perfekt für den nächsten Tag in Richtung Stirling aufzubrechen! Der Windpark ist eindrücklich!
beaucoup de places pour tous, relativement calme même si nous y étions un week end et le samedi soir plusieurs voitures ont stationné jusque tard, et le dimanche beaucoup d'allers et venues pour promener chiens, chevaux... le ronronnement des éoliennes se fait tout de même entendre, en plus du vent (logique !), cela fait un bruit de fond toute la nuit. endroit peu glamour, j'ai moyennement aimé
Stopped here over night on the route to Glasgow, lots of places to park up, few other campers and cars. Overall peaceful night sleep. Cafe open at 10am - 16:30 Toilets/Showers open 10am - 17:00 for the showers ask at the reception desk, they will give you a key (male & female facilities available) walk towards the bike area the showers are in there, give the key back to reception when finished.
Nice camp spot, head to the far end. Pretty quiet, some dog walkers. With external aerial v good signal (40mbps) on EE. lots of room
Parking calme ou vous pouvez passer la nuit. Il y a des places sur sol plat. Le bruit des éoliennes ne gêne en rien, des promeneurs arrivent en voiture le matin avec leurs chiens. Toilettes et douches gratuites dans le centre pendant les heures d'ouvertures. Pour les douches (dans la zone de parking vélos), demander les clés auprès de la réception.
Very nice spot! Parking / sleeping in Glasgow seemed to be impossible, so we decided to spend the night here. No sound from the wind turbines, very quiet and spacious. No services
Super Platz für einen Overnighter, die Nacht war ruhig, bis auf das eine Klonk des Windrades, das aber sehr monoton ist und nicht beim schlafen stört, leider sehr viele Midges!
Haben hier eine gute Nacht verbracht. Klar es war windiger als woanders. Aber was will man von einem windpark erwarten. Parkplätze sind ohne Ende vorhanden. Die direkt vor dem Visitor Center sind sogar recht eben
A great overnight spot which we shared with one other campervan - loads of space available. Just a shame that it rained all night so we couldn't get a walk in but hey ho!
Good spot for a quiet night with the campervan before entering Glasgow. Nice cafe with excellent scones for breakfast, opens at 10.
Beautiful location Car park good size in the middle of nowhere beautiful views Did hear cars pull up and leave but didn't get any noise. Sleeped like a log and felt safe Next morning cafe open so had a lovely sausage and bacon bap. Cafe had nice clean toilets.
Arrived at dark, a few other cars going in and out but nobody bothered us, parked across bays in overflow car park, only ones there until walkers/cyclists arrived early morning.Great walk and views in the morning.

The space directly opposite the car park entrance is the most level. Lovely quiet night, gently rocked to sleep by the wind. Great views and tasty bacon and sausage bap for breakfast in the visitor centre. Many great walking options around the wind farm site. Easy access. Early morning and late night dog walkers but didn’t cause any disturbance.

Nice quiet spot, the quiet rumble of the turbines and the distant clunk of the blades. Slight slope but manageable parking nose in tilts down forward. Sideways slope not really noticeable in the van. Was the only van for a quiet weekday overnighter. Lovely peaceful spot. Occasional cars passing nearby otherwise silence. A few walkers about in the morning. Great views.
Arrived after dark to find the local youth car club rove on the go. Didn't bother us as we found a nice spot away. They were gone by 11pm.woke up early by walkers, cyclists and horsy people.
Great place to park up. We arrived after dark as it gets very busy during the day with walkers. Walkers arrive around 06.00hrs so very busy after that time. Many parking spaces in the main car park and the overflow. Centre is closed at the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions. Highly recommended dark skies.
Yes, is a safe place, the police patrol visited me and after chat a bit kindly, they knew my intention for stay all night. So very good night. On the morning a lot miles for to walk.
Quiet and peaceful with dark skies. As its a wind farm it is windy. Overflow carpark not level if you park in spaces but if you park across a few you can get pretty level. Starts to get busier as it gets light with walkers, cyclists and cafe visitors.
